    Just a super quick update.
I started to cut some of the parts for the
control box. The UN in the middle will
either be red or slightly tinted acrylic with
LEDs behind it, still haven't decided.
The Box itself will be black. It's not finished yet...
    Enjoy.

Filters are always the hardest part in bulding. I realized that.

u need to pick between pretty, or simple.

Ummmmm can u just put spacers on that grill you have? and slip that window AC filter inside that WL linked ya to?

Your pull from your fans should hold the filter in place. (well until you turn your comp off)

Trust me dave, those things are so easy to clean. You just pull dunk in water and scrub, pat dry with towel and slide back in.

I totally agree with you but I would like it to be as flush as possible. That doesn't mean I wont end up going that way, I haven't ordered those grills yet, it just means I would like to explore good looking possibilities.

This is the one part of my project that still isn't totally clear to me. My mind just isn't made up yet.

BTW you don't have to remove your pic maybe just make it smaller. Might help someone else who's looking at this thread.

Thanks for the feedback looking forward to your suggestions.

Alright after staring at my build last night for hours trying to figure out how in the hell I'm going to run the DVD cables without seeing them I finally decided to rotate the front panel around.

I had been considering this for awhile but the need for extreme cable management dictated it.

I have also decided that there will be a matching grill on the inside of the case to match the front grill. It will be about half as thick and be slightly modified to allow fan and LED wires to come through. It will make the inside look better and also hide all the fan wires neatly.

One other custom piece is the spacer pieces between the top rads. This will hide the wires nicely.

I'm waiting on square aluminum tubing to work on the channels. This week I'll work on the Control box. I'm pretty sure I will go with acrylic and drill it for one or two LEDS.

Going to try and mount the top rads today if I can find the right screws.

Thanks everybody for checking this out and all the great comments!!

Actually, thats exactly how I envisioned it. Looks amazing. I'm a huge fan of those type of fan grills on the mountain mods, as opposed to the outside grills. I can tell you are careful, because you have rubber grommets behind the hex bolts. Excellent. Looks really nice dave.
I can't wait to see the front painted.

Thanks Czech for the umm kind words...

A little update. I started to machine the tubing to hide the wires. The pieces in the pic are not complete, I was just getting an idea of the lengths I needed.
All the aluminum that hides a wire will be anodized black.
All the other parts will be sent to the painter Thursday or Friday to be painted red.

    Ok, that's pretty sick.

I am not an MM fan, but I do a good bit of sheetmetal work (along with plenty of laser cutting and welding) and do respect their quality/value.

    Thanks for the positive feedback.
I finished all the programming for the Control Box
today. It will be all cut from one piece of billet aluminum.
Should get it cut sometime next week as well as the top for it.

iandh I am still waiting for the killcoils to make there way to Petras for this build. Figure there an extra ounce of prevention.

I also sent everything to the painters today!!
All should hopefully be back next week.

So I received all my painted parts today.
Just waiting to finish the control box and
I'll start to get it all together. Looks like
the wiring is going to take a bit of time
if it's to get done right.

    Enjoy!
