    this is ridiculous...

i tried dling it yesterday over msdn and i cancelled it several times. i thought something was wrong cuz it was at around 20kbps. i've never had such slow speeds with msdn before.

now it doesn't work anymore because that 2.5million limit has been reached in the meantime. how retarded is that!?

So there is also a download limit on MSDN and Technet I guess? I didn't know that, although I didn't look into it as I do not have a subscription to either of those. I hope I can get a copy of the Beta today, although if I can't then a torrent might do the trick.

? afaik the 2.5 million limit only applies to the public beta, which will be opened today. msdn/technet pro subscribers should still be able to dl it.

the only thing i'm interested in is a product key, but the site seems to be totally swamped. can't obtain a key, the site always shows an error.

The tubes must be clogged. A lot of east coast sites are really slow right now, and some are even timing out.

Damn, couldn't get this to install. I get to the install screen, click on Install Now, get "Starting Windows Setup", and then it's back to the Install Now screen

B.E - MSDN and Technet are pay subscriptions, so unless you have money to burn or have a subscription thru your job there is no way for regular people to get it (legal way i mean)

if you are a subscriber just login to MSDN then check your subscriptions and the download should show, or you can go to all MSDN downloads and find it there.

People are setting the MS servers on fire this morning! Stupid morons should be using bittorrent. If their data centers go up in flames it serves them right for fighting p2p.

Yes, its a pay subscription but its really not that expensive if you have like 8 computers in your house that you're constantly maintaining.

The Technet i have is like 350 a year, i think thats the retail one.

I have a very stripped windows 7 build 7000 at tpb if you want to bench.
Called "bench edition" and has most services disabled and removed tons of stuff.
Its legal i think as there is no key or anything within it, that you have to get from something else.
    Everything extra is bad!

Getting hung up on the Technet (non-subscribers) access. At first it was just slow and timing out, now I get a "Data Transfer Interrupted" error.

Main Windows 7 site does not show it as available yet.

Iso is 1.26gig and installed its ~4.5 gig.
You can make it alot smaller but only after install. (might change later)
2-3gig can be removed from it.
