I havent had a NForce chipset since my A8N SLI Deluxe/FX-60 and would like to give it a go, unless there are issues with the board otherwise I'm getting a Rampage.
Anyone know of issue wich would make this a no go???

Would either run a Q6700 or a E8400, both are collecting dust on my desk.

Thanks
It's an older outdated chipset to my knowledge, a 790i would be a better choice if you wanted an nvidia chipset as from what I have read it appears to do good FSB and has digital PWM. A Rampage Formula would IMO (based on what I have read) be the best choice from that list of possibilities you have. Have a read through Striker II threads and RF threads and just see what appeals to you most. I've never used either board so I can't give you any direct reasons to go with one over the other.

Yes, as Grnfinger said this is normal behaviour for my board too.

It is hyper PI I am affriad and option for sound is checked.

But basically if PI does not pass test the error message does not look like this?
I have never seen that error message come up, I usually get a hard lock or 'not exact in round' error, but that's not to say it's not a normal message, I just have not personally seen it before. If superpi runs and hyperpi doesn't just go with what works, although somewhat odd - I use XP but I've read in multiple places that SPI doesnt often play nice with vista and hyperpi (and checking the sound box) was the solution to that, your situation is the opposite.
