    Compressor height under 19.5cm

Hey guys, I need some help. I decided to go from a chiller build to a driect die unit and I want to setup the bottom of my lian li pc-v2110 to house the phase unit. I have about 19 cm of width to play with and I have about 19.5cm max height to play with, anything taller will hit the shelf.

I need a compressor that has the juice to keep 230w chilled to about -30c? Granted I know this also means a condenser and fans to elp, but can anyone point me in the direct of a compressor for starters.

    Thanks

Here is my case, the v2110

Looking to install a setup like this, but htis is a v2000

That doesn't give you a lot of room to play with. What is it that you intend to place this inside?

Might be able to squeeze a Tecumseh AE series too.

Also do not forget you will need to add about 1.5" for the rubber mount. So those danfoss may not work.

I want to install a direct die unit under in the lower compartment:

    Added some pics for reference,

Boshuter from extreme overclockers made the rig in the seond pic, he has a pc/v2000 which I figured would have the same dimensions ,but apparently my 2110 has a lower height capacity .

Having this unit built for me, as I am doubting my tech skills for the time being.

Probably start my own build as a learning phase but for now taking the easy route out.

Boshuter v2000 had 8.75 in of clearance, but I have only 7 7/8in

It would probably be a pain in the ass to try and move the shelf up a bit

im not sure if you can even do this but looking at your pics kinda inspired me... reason i say that im not sure if you can do it is because ive never seen one like it lol. but, could you make a bracket on an angle like this slash / and mount a skinny rotary semi-horizontally? or even possibly 0 degrees horizontal if possible... that would solve the 230w load problem and your space issue if you are indeed able to mount one like that... maybe some of the more senior phase people could shed a little more light on benefits or consequences of mounting something like that, but i figured id throw it out there.

    Hmm.... I see.

That compressor looks like it will fit the only problem is it wont hold 230W load.

As a matter of fact, I dont think any compressor that small will hold 230W.

Thought about cutting out the bottom and basically lowering it in the middle. Probable from the PSU support backet to right behind the front wheels. I hate those wheels anyways, Do not belong on this case.

What do you think the best method for doing that would be?

What do you think about cutting the floor out and setting a sump in between the wheels?

    I drew this up

anyone think about what i mentioned about the horizontally mounted rotary... im not sure if it would work toally horizontal, but i think it would in theory as long as your discharge port was placed at the top... food for thought.

There are specially designed horizontal mounted rotaries, you must not tilt the normal vertical standing rotary into horizontal position. Lubricant problems and such.
