hey guys, i got a question, first i got 4ghz 14 hours prime stable with 1.375v vcore , qpi/vtt 1.315v
then i flashed to f4n and i needed more vcore so i flashed back to f4k and i still needed more vcore so i ended up doing 21 hours of prime @ 4ghz @ 1.395v vcore
anyway i was folding with 2 smp clients and when i got up this morning the pc had crashed, but when it crashes it doesnt just restart , it kinda just hangs and my gpu fan revs flat out until i push the restart button,
anyone else getting that when it crashes ?
and why is it crashing after 21 hours of prime small ftt, i also ran memtest86 ver 2.10 to test memory and that was ok![]()

Hey Freshy ..
I think you were onto something with these settings ..
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&postcount=657
I used exactly these settings & been priming for 90mins + now which is farthest I've ever got at at 4Ghz CPU clock .. lowest temps too ..
But I'm confused about your Vcore .. your later posts here are saying you had to up the Vcore to ~1.39V after BIOS updates ..
But then the link in your sig to 4Ghz settings show Vcore of only 1.328V (CPU-Z) .. back on 12-10-2008 ..

So what were you using for that test ? QPI/Vtt volts etc ?
Core i7 920 / ASUS P6T Deluxe / 6GB OCZ Gold 1600 CL8 / Noctua NH-U12P SE 1366 / ASUS GTX280 / Zalman ZM850-HP / Samsung 500GB 7200RPM / CM HAF 932 / Vista HP 64-bit / ASUS 22" VW224U / 20584 3DMark06 / Cinebench R10 23238
and ive disabled everything et6 still doesnt work for me, might have to load up vista 64 bit see if that does anything
these were the settings for whats in my sig, but like i said after i flashed bios i needed more vcore

at first EasyTune 6 wasn't working for me either. I had been using a hard drive off my X38 board and plugged it into this board and it took. I had SP2 installed on my Vista Ult. x64 and EasyTune 6 would give an AppCrash error and then when I clicked continue it would give me a windows sockets initialization error. Not sure if you all got that same error or not.
I thought maybe it was SP2, so I reinstalled Vista Ult x64 and loaded EasyTune 6 just after my lan drivers and it worked fine. I then installed SP2 then my drivers and it still worked.
Hope this helps someone.
