I have an adaptec 3405 raid controller and was thinking of getting the 5805, but after your benchies I am thinking of waiting. Your write speeds on the Areca card are out of this world.

If you ever have some time, could you try some real world tests on each of the cards ( ie. 3GB file copy, or ISO creation, or maybe some Game loading times)? Im wondering if all those numbers really mean anything when doing any real work?
