But damn, Adaptec needs to tune their cards more just like you said. I mean, the 1231ML is like really old tech compared to the 5805.. It shouldn't be that much faster. Not even with 2Gb cache in it.

1x @ arc1210 = 188MB/s

188 x 4 = 752MB/s

and thats what the 1231 is doing.. but 5805 nowhere near

5805 just needs full/more ssd support.. and whatever tuning/tweaking

hard to believe a dualcore 1.2ghz maxes out @ just above 600MB/s

wonder how it stacks up against Highpoint's new RR4320 PCI-E SAS/SATA ?

great specs.. but what good does it do if they dont include full support for ssds.. should be faster than the 1231

the 231k is from the cache + 4x

78634 is the first run.. then it all ran from cache but its not just the cache alone
