    Question

I'm about to set up a fresh install on this board today.

My question is please, to those who set up a raid 0 config,

I know for XP you need to press F6 and load the raid driver as usual. For Vista 64, do I need to load a raid driver or is the ICH10R one already on the vista cd? I know for my 680i and 750i nvidia boards that use the ICH9R that there is no need to load it for Vista. I'm just not sure if Vista has the ICH10R. Thanks.

Also on the Gigabye driver page for the UD3R, under SATA RAID section there are three downloads listed. What's the deal with the 25mb package? Does it have all of the drivers together? Then below it there are the two .28mb and .30mb 32 and 64 bit drivers. This is very confusing how they organize their downloads? Which do I use for a RAID 0 XP 64 and vista 64?

    Thanks.

You don't need ICH10 drivers to install Vista. It has the ICH8/ICH9 drivers which will work fine. You can always update the driver using device manager later.

Yo any updates on yer 9450? What'd it do on your previous board?
My board is coming either today or tomorrow, and my 9450 is doing 475x8 20 pass ibt stable on a 790i baord right now, i'd like to get it up to 8x495 for 24/7 on a p45 board like my previous 9450 did on p5q3.

I havnt tried going higher yet, for now 3.6ghz is ok for me, but my previous 24/7 stable was 475x8 on my MF II, i should be able to reach that on this board, not sure why i havnt been able to yet, i will wait for more people to play around with it and try different settings. I need my system up and stable so i havnt messed with it too much, i will soon tho.

So how does it look with that S3 power state? I really think about buying this (or similar) board, but this is quite important to me... Does it do the same thing in Windows XP or only Vista?

Overclockability between this 2 models is similar, personally i recommend UD3R except you want to using CF mode and TPM.

i would get one if leeghoofd got one.then there would be some awesome guidance. im afraid to go ddr3,cause all the ddr3 threads are filled with memory issues.(not running at rated speeds) but most of them are inexperienced user for the most part(like me).so it would be awesome if you got one leeghoofd.

Like i said before, in terms of overclocking this 2 models similar. You pay more for UD3P because CF, TPM and Silentpipe, that's all.
