Is this really a bug or just how this is designed to work. When C1E and EIST are disabled, at idle, I think you get your base or default multiplier for your chip and you automatically get the +1 Turbo as well. I think the only way to have a lower multi than that at idle is by having C1E / EIST enabled.
I'm not sure if CPU-Z is 100% accurate at part throttle. It's showing half (0.5) multipliers that don't exist in Core i7. It's also doing some sort of averaging and reporting MHz based on 1/4, 1/8 and even 1/16 multipliers according to rge.
I've just done a lot of work to RealTemp to try and get it reading the multiplier correctly from Core i7. I followed the Intel directions exactly about how to correctly read the multiplier so now I just need some feedback from the Core i7 guys. Thanks.
