If you don't have the prev log, and this is all you got, you made a mistake with the install, as I said, did you read the guides? Sli disabled, clients in the right place? You got two cards, you should have two clients running and thus post two logs ( each client in a seperate folder ).

If you didn't do all that, delete your current client and disable sli, then run www.mtm78.nl/maxfah/publish.htm, install the gpu clients and just enter your name ( team number should already be 36362 ), don't mess with the other options and after install go to c:\maxfah\clients there will be a folder for each instance and you can run them from there ( if you want to create shortcuts be sure to change the start folder for each shortcut ).
nope did not read any guides.. not sure I saw em.. its probably stickied somewhere I do not have sli right now.. other card is on its way and it won't be installed until I get my wc all done in the next week or two. suppose I should find the guide and read it. I thought this used your cpu too lol.. the folding I have right now just uses my cpu, just downloaded the folding client from http://folding.stanford.edu/. What does http://www.mtm78.nl/maxfah/publish.htm do exactly?

Don't have a spare hdd to, and the one with the most space on it is a external usb hdd, don't think that's a good idea...
You are correct you will not be able to fold with the gpu using VMware you will need to do a native Linux install and then use wine. No you could do a dual boot install so you could boot into Linux when you wanted to fold and then boot into windows when you needed to use your computer for other things that you can not do in Linux. and you could use a usb hdd but it would be a little slow.

That core and wu is for a standard CPU client you forgot the -smp flag that is the problem. You need to add the -smp flag to get a smp wu and download the smp core.

@doox00 the High Performance Clients are here

For your gpu the sys tray client will work. its easy to set up and for your cpu use the smp with MPICH

yeah, it has an instance open for each core.. each core is using 12-14 percent at all times. I read this guide

    http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandeg...nSMPGuideMPICH

Did you add "-smp" to the desktop shortcut?
Check the core version in your log is it core_78 or core_a1?

Wait wait.. you're running a nelly.. that's 4 real cores but 8 with ht enabeld. That's the problem there.

Think MM ran with HT off, and got about 6K ppd iirc.

Two options, reboot without ht on and check cpu usage, should definetly work I think. Or run multiple instances!

Idk how the ht cores are mapped, otherwise I would advice to use AFC but I'm not even sure that supports nelly already

Not even sure how affinity changer would work with a nelly.

Shortest solution I got is running with ht off. But idk if it's the most effective. I wonder how a nelly does under linux with the -smp 8 flag though, if it's an improvement over running normal a2 cores without ht. Man I whish I had your system

@ oldchap MM had troubles runing dual instances so either fah doesn't like him or nelly doesn't like dual fah's. I'm going to check the thread on the folding forums about AFC maybe there is some nelly info there

Hey guys, forgive me if this has been answered 100 times already but I just wanted to make sure there isnt anything else I need to do.

I pretty much just installed the F@H GPU client, made a user name and then put 36362 in the team number spot and then let her rip, been folding for about a week and a half non stop. Is there anything else I need to do? I am folding with the rig on the sight side of my Sig.

Jason still is blocking me.. think he got scared by my email.. hey do you mind if I make about 700 xml queries to your export functions.. per update

He says there is a script blocking ip's when they make to many queries, but my loop ran through 200 queries with atleast a second delay between them and the morning I came down I could still browse there and check stats, it was only in the afternoon after he read the mail I guess that I got blocked

It's not like I can't use a proxy but I'd rather have him just unblock me

Kakao is to slow for my liking

Why I bring it up... because all I see is a red X where all those sig images are supposed to be

Thanks MikeB12, how do I go about getting that sig image into my sig and keep it updating? I know I can just copy the image to my drive but wont that just be the static image with no updates?

    [ center ] the thing you pasted already [ /center ]

or select the text and press the allign option in the wysiwyg editor. There are a few good guides for bbcode on the web if you want to learn, but as it's a subclass of html you might as well skip it and go right to the good stuff
