Finally managed to mount Sunbeam CCF on this board without any mods.

I took the AM2 mount clip that was laying unused with me and tried it on this bracket. Knowing that the default clip works on the AM2 bracket, I figured reverse should be possible as well. So I removed the stock clip of the Core Contact Freezer and used the AM2+ clip along with the bracket that comes with the CCF.

And it worked. ( bad quality pics, taken from E71 in hurry. )

I've been doing some testing with my 4gb kit of OCZ Reapers. Running here at DDR2-1140. I'm not sure how much higher these sticks can go... seem to be getting some errors in Memtest at 575mhz.

Does increasing MCH core help solve the errors? 1.28v is pretty low for 475 FSB @ PL8 and 575 MHz.

Two screws and two pushpins ... easy off and easy on! However, I reapplied some Noctua NT-H1 TIM and put a thermal diode on the ceramic casing near the NB chipset and put back the stock heatsink for the time being. My Zalman fan/temp controller was reporting the temps at around 40C~50c during some testing. Not sure if it was accurate, but at least it was giving me something. I bet with water-cooling, the temps would be ~ 6-10C lower. JAWAG AFAIC !!

(Just a wild ass guess as far as I'm concerned) ...

So you stuck it onto the green substrate surrounding the NB? At what vMCH did you measure 40 - 50*C?

My Maximus II Formula idles around 40 - 45*C (depending on ambients) and full load is around 48 - 52*C depending on ambients at around 1.3 vNB.

There may be a little more headroom but moving from 1150 to 1175 and the errors just keep scaling.

the EK-Mosfet Asus 3a water block..... DOES NOT FIT ...... the EP45-UD3P.... I pulled the stock cooling off to see if they fit as they appeared to ! but miss by less than 2 mm on the screw holes ... Damn 'It
need to find a mosfit water block for this board ..

I will be able to Mod a DD MPC-975 (brass option) water block to fit the P45 chipset with ease .. just have to MFG'er a hold down plate to replace the plexi that goes on top of the brass block top & I can also mod a brass back plate for this same block

heh..leave the headache. They run cool with 45nm...unless you have some fetish with wc.
I rip HR-02 S/U from Maximus because the stock EK Supreme bracket interfere with the gigabyte mosfet and I was too lazy to order new one.

hey guys, im using the UD3P, E8400 seems nice at 500x8.5

was wondering how your Bios Voltage settings coincide with what the ET6
says. ive noticed that a few of my settings, mainly CPU REF, MCH REF,
MCH DRAM REF show up as lower voltage in ET6 that what i set in bios.
    is this a concern?

    Hi,

I have the board for about 1 month now and I'm certainly happy with it. The only problem I have it is sleep mode when cpu is overcklocked. The computer won't just wake up after sleeping and restarts forever. Have anybody such a problem, and solutions for it ?

The board is UD3P CPU E8500, overcklocked 450 x 9.5. All voltages set to auto.

Think a cold boot issue on this board could be helped by updating BIOS? If I get it to POST, it can take up to 10 minutes to display, and it will NOT reset.

I've finally had my fill of new stuff. My next project will be a s939 AMD, unless somebody shows me something that ****ing works out of the box.

Fourth bad board this year. I have well and truly had it with all this new stuff.

    EP45-UD3P cold boot issue

All, Looking for some help with an odd problem.

New system build which works great once everything warms up.

If it sits for more than 2 hours after being turned off then system fails and reboots multiple times before successfully booting and starting windows. Failures during the first few minutes can occur during POST, in BIOS, during Windows load....tends to go further and further each time.

Have run Memtest both warm and cold with similar behavior. When warm, no errors. When cold, errors for first 60-90 seconds and then no more after that. What's my best move?

    S3 works fine here....

In XP I had to disconnect the media center remote to get it to go from S1 to S3. As well as tinker with some manual sleep command line configuration thing.

In Vista, not a single problem going to sleep. That is with both official F4 and F5. UD3P.
