thanks cryptik, yeah, i have "new" ballistix dimms. i was running a 4x1 set with really sad stabillity problems, removed 2 dimms and things got a bit better. thinking about getting a 2x2 set tomorrow, any suggestions?
setting my vFSB=1.2 and vNB=1.3 with the nGTL=auto results in an instant fail with prime95. vFSB=1.275, vNB=1.35, nGTL=-10 will run prime for about 45min before failing.
Try advancing the ram skews between 50 & 300ps on all channels.
Also try different combinations of vFSB/vNB/NB GTL Ref

Currently running with 2 1xGB sticks of corsair dominator cas5 ddr2-1066, these settings run @ a 1:1 ratio. Validation is in my Sig.
EDIT: Got pics of my current cooling setup, 60mm fan is setup on a NB temp sensor currently running @ about 2k rpm's barely audible maxxes @ 6600rpm lol. Also got a pic and how to for my lcd poster mod on the stacker 830 and im sure it can be adapted to other cases as well that use modular bay covers.

guys just another trouble here
i've a Raptor HDD over it i've installed my OS (Win XP PRO) i've attached this this into the Silicon Sata Port and all runs correctly ... but i'm so curious so i've changed the sata port from the black to a 'normal' blue, and it comes out a strange thing, when the mobo/system starts it doesn't recognize any disk installed into my system ... but obviously i can enter in windows normally ...
why this happens? it's really weird . ..

No guide for them, but essentially you are advancing or delaying the dram channels in relation to the data strobe.
Some ram (micron/psc) prefer neutral or advanced skews, other ram (eg elipda) seems to prefer delayed skews.
Play around with them and see if it has any benefits on stability. I leave mine on auto (neutral) as advancing or delaying has no benefit for me.

Hi
I am looking for mobo that can be used 600MHz FSB for 24/7 in use. Does anyone have knowledge is that possible with this mobo
Project ZEUS II
Asus Rampage II Extreme
Intel I7 920 D0 3930A @ 4.50GHz (21 X 214mhz)
3 x 2GB G.Skill Trident 1600 @ 1716MHz (6-8-6-20-1N)
2 x Asus HD 6870 CrossFire @ 1000/1100MHz
OCZ Vertex 2 60GB | Intel X25-M 120GB | WD Velociraptor 150GB | Seagate FreeAgent XTreme 1.5TB esata
Asus Xonar DX | Logitech Z-5500 | LG W2600HP 26" S-IPS LCD
Watercooling setup:
1st loop -> Radiator: 2 x ThermoChill PA120.3 | Pump: Laing DDC-3.25 with Alphacool HF 38 top | CPU: Swiftech Apogee XT | Chipset: Swiftech MCW-NBMAX | Tubing: Masterkleer 1/2" UV
2nd loop -> Radiator: ThermoChill PA120.3 | Pump: Laing DDC-3.2 with Alphacool HF 38 top | GPU: 2 x EK FC-6870 | Tubing: Masterkleer 1/2" UV

Some peeps have no clue of hardwarelimits... +500 FSB is nice, 600FSB requires a good CPU, will create way too much heat, big stress on NB and RAM too... 500-530 is doable, more is a heaven sent...
I can run some 600FSB benchies (short duration on the P5Q Dlx) but in 3d it caps out and to get 32MB pi stable was already a nitemare for my CPU/Mobo combo.. let alone of running this 24/7...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree

I have Biostar TPower I45 and E8500 E0. I also have got some test with 600 FSB 3DMark 06 and SuperPi allso 550 FSB 7h orthos

Am I too ambitious for dreaming 600MHz FSB for 24/7 use
If Maximus II Formula isnīt that mobo so what is better? I have so much problems with TPower I45 that i am loosing my nervers with this mobo
You might have a shot with the Gigabyte UD3 but 600FSB 24/7 will be hard on your hardware , there is a thread here for the Gigabyte board you could ask in there, I'm not certain but I thought guys were hitting 600+ FSB but that was for benching iirc
I wish you luck in your quest
600mhz 24/7 is pretty hard to do...![]()

Good job. But you can`t make it stable with your air cooling. Make 500x8. It is the best setup for 24\7 using.
