Why would you increase PCIe? Normally you set it to 100 and leave it that way (for a good reason..). So i don't think thats an issue of the board.

Also, normally you will disable LLC if you do really extrem OC where you need such high vCores. But, is this confirmed? Do you have some Screens or anything like that?

I have yet to see this over volt issue, but I have only been as high as 1.60 vCore.
I can confirm Pull-ins are not working and it would be very nice if they started to work
I can boot with PCI-E set to 103 up till 495 fsb after that it wont post unless its set to 100.
Have never had the FSBT, NB volt hang issue that others speak of, but thats not to say is not present. Cryptik has tested this issue and I would take his word as truth.
The port hang from the last 2 bios release was a major dissapointment to us Raid users so it would be nice if that could be corrected for the next release unless this is Asus way of forcing the Speeding HDD option on us

Bios is maturing but the options that make this board a ROG line are not function properly and this need to be address'd accordingly.
Would hate to have to jump ship and fly the Gigabyte flag

I tried for days to get 4.0GHz stable with no luck, setting GTL's with positive values and negative values still didnt help, if anything it made matter worse.
GTL's on auto and I had the chip stable in 20 mins.
Now the rumor is the next bios release will include further overclocking options...more that wont work I assume
Asus has done a stellar job with the eye candy on this board, now if the could do the same with bios support I think we would have a winner here.
So you run them on Auto now?

Setting it higher will gain you greater bandwidth on the pci-e i do believe. It certainly incresed my 03/06 scores on my X38 chipset, most ive been able to bet outa this MFII is 105.....

And Asus says that they dont support "overclocking", maybe they need to work on "bios engeineering".....

What I can see people recommend bios 1307, right?
Does Asus prope and bios read right temps on this board, my cpu temps is way higher than with DFI?
Does this board like NB voltage? I will go for ~4.4-4.5Ghz for 24/7 use....

Of course I come back later with full bios settings when its starting...

w00t finally got my rig stable @ 1:1 ratio, running 533FSB w/ 7.5 multi, (dosent like 8) only changed the bare minimums from auto like dram timings, pl, fsb, cpu ratio. voltages are:

    CPU Voltage: 1.35000
    CPU PLL Voltage: 1.60600
    FSB Termination Voltage: 1.25900
DRAM Voltage: 2.10475 (as listed on my ram)
    NorthBridge Voltage: 1.35175
CPU GTL Refrence (1): +40mV (left this setting from previous OC, could probably set it to auto as well)

Dram Static Read, Dram Read Training, Load Line Calibration, CPU Spread Spectrum, PCI-e Spread Spectrum all set to disable.

PL is set to 10 (lowest i can get it /sadface)
    Mem OC Charger is Enabled

Clock twister is set to moderate, ive never been able to boot with anything over that, anyone have a suggestion on what i can change to get to to strong or stronger, every other setting is set to auto.

May try 1.4 or 1.45 vcore tomorrow to see if i can get it 533x8 stable, temps are @ 66C under full load, 50C idle... if it raises too much w/ that vcore i may just wait til i get my SS running.

man its gonna be a pita to insulate this board... /facepalm

Do other Boards make higher PCIe Frequencies?
There are many devices connected to the PCIe bus and if you overclock them, they could become instable.
So if you put your System back to 333/400 FSB and test this behavior again, i would think it would also drop out at ~105MHz. Can you confirm that?

I used to run 101 or 105 or 110 PCI-E on my Striker Extreme (680I), it was not to get more out GPU but it seems to help stabilise high FSB OC's (pure example, you crash at 450FSB but set PCI-E to above 100 and its now stable).

115 is about the Max Safe level most peep will sue going by reading over the eyars.

I have run 533FSB PL8 and Ram @ 639.6 MHz, Clock Twister = Stronger, Static read enabled, dram read training enabled. Don't be afraid of vNB if you want to stabilize it.

U get a performance boost in vga an hd. No it is an issue, cause u aren't limited by the connected devices but from the mb itself...

If I were you, I`d go to 600 Mhz memory. If you do it, you can advance you PL from 10 to 9, because NB blocks low PL on ratio 1:1. You will have something like my 10500 Read

    Thanks for the advice.
I haven't yet fully tuned my system. I was planning on testing 1200mhz mem but i don't think that my 2x2gb pc8500 mushkins will be stable...
I'll give it a shot though...

You can get those Mushkin's to 1200MHz with this

    Dram Clock Skew CH1 A1 : Advanced 350ps
    DRAM Clock Skew CH1 A2 : Normal
    Dram Clock Skew CH1 B1 : Advanced 350ps
    Dram Clock Skew CH1 B2 : Normal

    DRAM Timing Control: Manual
    CAS# Latency : 5
    RAS# to CAS# Delay : 5
    RAS# Precharge : 5
    RAS# ActivateTime : 18
    RAS# to RAS# Delay : 5
Row Refresh Cycle Time : 65
    Write Recovery Time : 6
Read to Precharge Time : 5

    Read to Write Delay (S/D) : 10
    Write to Read Delay (S) : 4
    Write to Read Delay (D) : 5
    Read to Read Delay (S) : 6
    Read to Read Delay (D) : 6
    Write to Write Delay (S) : 5
    Write to Write Delay (D) : 6

Write to PRE Delay : 16
Read to PRE Delay : 6
PRE to PRE Delay : 1
ALL PRE to ACT Delay : 6
ALL PRE to REF Delay : 6

    DRAM Static Read Control: Disabled
    Dram Read Training : Disabled
    MEM OC Charger : Enabled
    Ai Clock Twister : Moderate
    Transaction Booster : Manual

I have 2x2 Mushkin XP2-8500 and they hit 1200MHZ stable with that setup @ 2.2 volts. You take a slight read bandwidth hit but nothing serious

    I should cut the scotch...

Just realized that i'm @ 530mhz fsb (not 500x9), which gives me 1280mhz as the next available option and no go for my mushkins.

I will take the time and test 500x9 with 1200mhz mem and see the performance diffs, although i prefer 530mhz for now...

500x9 with 1200mhz mem would be the best for 24/7, mate

Marked 2nd info will decrease READ to 9700-9800. Better to use AUTO.
