I called dimcar who runned the benchmarks, he told me that the room temperature is around 25C. I trust this guy a lo and i do not think he is telling me BS,he has no reason to do that as there are the same results on their magazine and it is available on public from 25 October. If he is saying BS, i think it will return back to him from his audience, but again, i do not think he is that kind of person(Movieman, for you)
The utility on the right up corner is comming from ASUS and he told me that it is really very easy to handle and very helpfull(Cool Vobrations, this is for you)

Furthrmore, he get a nehalem on Air World record on 3DMark Vantage CPU Score @Performance Mode.

Setup is the same as before
    Mobo : Asus P6T Deluxe
Ram : Transcend Axe Ram 1800+ (Dual Channel Mode )

I managed to collect some top scores from hwbot to make a fast comparison .

    1st Place : SF3D, CPU Score @23022Marks on Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 at 5746,7GHz(14 x 410.5) with LN2.

    2nd Place: hipro5, CPU Score @23016Marks on Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 at 5649,9GHz(12.5 x 451.8) with LN2.

    3rd Place : k|ngp|n, CPU Score @21942Marks on Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 at 5502,6GHz(12.5 x 440,2) with LN2.

This result 24397marks on Intel Core i7 Extreme 965 at 4032,6Ghz(27x150) with Intel Default Cooler .

    Link

I guess when SF3D, hipro5, kingpin and many others will publish scores with nehalems, they will overpass 30K easily :p
But again, he didn't managed to run on Triple Channel mode to have a better point of view, he mentionedme that it was a little hard to "play" well with 3ple channel.
When Mercedes brought their C111 to Talledega years ago and blew away the closed course record did it count? Yes..
That was a "factory" car and a "one of" that no one could buy and was never sold.
Records are records and that is a fact so get over it.

I think when you grow up with a language it's diffrent, we humans tend to have our best moments in aquiring a language at a very young age.
They've more rules, but once you grow up with those most other languages are easy.

German, English and French all use the same rules (well, not completely). In Dutch we had those rules too although we got rid of them, which makes it hard for us to learn those other languages. For those languages it's hard to learn Dutch simply because they cant understand why there's no such rules.

    Enough OT indeed now

Bloomsfield seems to do nice. As expected the ref bus speed wouldnt go very high, but with such huge multipliers you dont really need a huge reference bus speed.

Still, I wont buy it though. It's not very cheap, although I dont care to spend money on hardware, but not on a platform. More on GPU's etc. But maybe there will be a day Ill make the decision to buy some pricy platform, but for now it's far from needed.

Congrats to you. I don't game. My interest was in pure computational power and thats why I picked those apps and all in XP Pro 64 bit.

    Once again, the same thing.
I managed to hold on to myself for a long time, but this time I sincerely can't keep it inside me anymore.

I understand that some people do not speak English fluently or at all.
But that doesn't seem to be the case here.

Most of your posts are like:

"Oh, I already have this since January..."
    "I know that"
"Ha! You jumped from the 2nd floor and survived, but I jumped from the 5th floor, I'm better"
    etc, etc.

When you're not saying "+1", or "I got this board first", sometimes you're posting some good stuff, and sometimes... you're just teasing people or promising to show benchmarks of upcoming products that are under NDA, and then you disappear or give the readers a lame excuse and go hide under a rock or something

I understand the excitement and enthusiasm of having something that other people don't or can't have, and the feeling of helping people or letting people know some things they shouldn't hear before the NDA ends, and I know that it's hard to keep things to yourself only for a long time or a while, but you should try and change your attitude here man.

I've got nothing personal with you, but most of your posts are offending people and have nothing to add to the conversation.

This time you're thinking of making fun of Movieman.
I don't know which part you do not understand, but Movieman is a good person, always helpful and willing to share his ideas, knowledge and excitement with the community.
He is not a benchmarker, neither a hardware reviewer, and yet he tries his best to please everybody by running some benchmarks and tests people asked him to run.

If this wasn't your intention, please try to express your "feelings" a bit better.
Maybe using the appropriate emoticons in the right way might help

sorry for adding to the offtopic, but I believe most people that read the News section even semi often like me have already gotten used to skipping some (most for me ) of his posts. No offense mate

Speaking of NDA's, when would they lift up? Or do we have to wait for the release date for that?

The thing is OBR does not have any idea how his posts hurt the majority of people, cultural issues I would say, everything he does is a failure, he promises but never delivers, when the people deliver he says nothing new, people on NDA are bs for him when he is on NDA a holy day which he says will be soon disclosed and then removes all his posts. He is the only one in this forum who makes me wonder "what is his purpose in this forum?

My last post about him was removed and it was not offensive on any way, it was just a sad true story. He never learns.

It is hard to swallow some of his posts.

I pm'd Bill the minute I read his post, and thanked him for posting what he did. I wasn't sure what to do, but I did feel his post could have been ment pretty insultive. Having someone put on the brave shoes like BenchzOwner did and speak up for what he believes is is I think becoming an exception instead of a rule and it saddens me abit. I don't want to suck up to MM, don't think it would work anyway , but he is one off the most respected people on this forum ( imo ) for a good reason.

If I had felt for sure his post was ment to be offensive I would have spoken out as well but I didn't. Reading that I'm not alone, only strengthens my believe Bill is right and this shouldn't be allowed to continue.

I don't mind being teased, seeing that I often find myself in the situation that I have some piece of HW or related information I cannot talk about (I had also been given all three i7's several days ago, for example). I think OBR just went a little overboard this time.

I think he owes MM an apology, and to all of us - full blown version of those benchmark pics, with a bit of text when NDA lifts .

I really dont understand why people shout about "respect" when someone dissagre with someone? if there is no ugly words or such then fine, you are not forced to think as everybody else..

Most of the time I am polite, but I must agree with this.

I have to say that to me, most of his post have some kind of "look what I have that you dont have" content. Comes of to me like bragging about industry contacts, NDA's, belittling people, trying to come off as superior....

Let's let it all go and bury the hatchet.
Life is too short to argue over the small things.
I never got upset at OBR, I could see the enthusiam and that I can understand.
I have a bit of it myself and I don't usually get like that.
Nehalem is the cause and honestly, it is a brute in terms of pure power.
OBR, matters settled as far as I'm concerned but you better beat my Cinebech10 and SP1M time or I'll never let you hear the end of it! J/K

You mean you guys don't like being berated and teased with false rumors all the time? Gee, i figured I was the only one

Truthfully, if you get gear before anyone else, awesome. Want to share some details? Great, I look forward to it! But teasing and being a bit of a jerk? Lay off imo.

    On topic...

i7 certainly isn't going to interest me much in the short term, but the fact that Intel is driving forward while AMD is stagnated is a good thing.

Regardless of how the results show up in games, I think it's clear that Nahalem has lots of computing power to spare

Can't wait to see what Intel can cook up for prime time 32 nm

Well said BZ, I completely agree. I do not post on this forum as much as some of you guys but I do frequently read these forums as I find them very informative. There is NO better hardware forum on the web in my opinion. But I have noticed certain people, acting the way you bz mentioned and i do find it quite irritating as there is so many good knowledgeable people on here who just want to help and share there knowledge without dismissing someone else efforts.
