So Napalm. what do you think about those 2 PSU choices.??

Also Napalm I have one other question for you. I'm at 4.0 Ghz with 1.304v in CPU-Z but in order to run at 4.1 Ghz Prime Stable I need 1.354v in BIOS and I've only gone up to 1.35v on FSB/VTT.
would I have a better chance at being stable at 4.1 Ghz if I went to 1.4v FSB/VTT.?? and do you really think it's ok to run VTT that high 24/7?

and my last question for you. is what clock are you running for 24/7 on your Q9650??
    goodness xguntherc youre a handful

please dont ask me what vtt/vcore/vpll/vi/o/vdimm/vnb is ok for 24/7.. this goes to everyone.. thats up to you guys to decide.. all voltages kill hardware.. whether it takes longer or less time to kill the end result is all the same

i have suggested what psu to go with.. but at least give the odin psu a try

    my goal is 4.8ghz 24/7

Maybe napalm has to suggest something smaller without the need of any adjustments to 12v rail.
since road-runner posted 4.6ghz on the 750 pcpower&cooling thats what ive been suggesting.. but i can not guarantee since i dont have the psu.. up to you guys to try

Is it worth pulling the Striker down for this board or going back to DDR2 and a DQ6. I can swap the EP45T extreme over for a DQ6 from my wholesaler if required seeing I haven't opened it up yet.

It seems that the EP45T Extreme isn't all that great at clocking the CPU and memory together. Is that what you are finding ?
its worth it if you got ddr3 kits to play with

the 4.5ghz im only able to do @ auto ratio and auto vdimm

that 1000mhz is @ 2.256vdimm.. not much more i can do with..

if i set vdimm manually: no system boot
if i set anything other than the auto ratio: no os boot

some kind of protection or the bios needs lots of fixing.. my hands are tied up at such low vdimm

if id have the corsair dominator 2133 kit id be able to show you guys 4.8ghz/2136ddr3 @ auto ratio/vdimm.. but im not gonna spend 500+$ on the kit but instead ill just ditch the ddr3 extreme and try the ddr2 extreme

Ive set vtt/Mch higher than i would normally dare (1.7+) but it didnt make any difference. Ive also copied Hicookies settings in this post but it still fails super_pi and blend instantly. My ram is OCZ flex 2 9200 so normally handles 500Mhz with ease.

This chip only needed 1.216vcore for small FFT with 445x9 but fails in a few minutes with 500x8 with 1.3vcore.

    No one else so far
but of course no one else.. not one of you got the same parts i do

    some think they know better
    some always looking for shortcuts
i can go on and on

its like pulling teeth and it is tiring but once one of you get 4.8ghz out of your q9650 my work here is done

alright.. your voltages are all messed up

ill get back to you with a ss of easytune @ 4.5ghz
