    GAVE it away.. boy did I come a little late.. that would be perfect for my spare Q6700..

    and you all make a great point.. who cares if my GTX260 fails. It's an eVGA and they have a lifetime warranty. thats partly why I got it over the 4870, the warranty. and cuz Nvidia's proven themselves to me, as i've never actually had to try ATI.. Not saying I'm a fanboi. just saying I've never needed to go to ATI. not yet at least. I might as weel keep folding, cuz I have the warranty, IF.. If anything should happen.
    what do you guys mean when you say the CAP thing. like get two identical cards and one CAP mod, one not? I'm lost with that.. I know a pretty good amount, but not all the in's and outs. I've built many computers though.. Is this a MOD for gfx cards or something? also I'm running everything I have now on my corsair 520HX... thats enough right? It also has a 5 yr warranty. thats good enough. but if I ever wanna get SLI on my 260 I'd need a bigger PSU huh.

    Well just as a side note, visiontek and powercolor have lifetime warranties on their cards. My 4870 is guaranteed forever by visiontek

    Ya I know.. well visiontek does.. but powercolor is only 3 yr I thought. when I was looking into 260/4870 I found that only visiontek offered it.. but Meh, oh well. I'm happy with what I got.

    When I got my X1950XT it was 3 year or if you register lifetime. Guess I just assumed that they kept that going, maybe not Went with visiontek when I got my 4870.
    But the gtx260 folds better

    Sounds stupid maybe, but when I turned into a addict I had to resort to reading glasses sometimes to prevent my eyes getting to irritated from the crappy crt I was using... It did help. my eyes were allot less tired. But that was a crt and not a good one, lcd's are already much easier for your eyes.

    Ya thats what I thought. I've used a LCD for a good 7 months or so.. but the last about a month or so I've been having problems. Nothing before this though. thats why I'm not sure. Maybe I need to get my eye's checked. last time was a solid 2 or more years ago. but I had 20/15 back then. Great vision. so IDK.. just gettin sick of the fatigue I get while on the PC. and I need to get rid of it before FarCry 2 comes out. cuz I'll be playin a LOT of that. lol

    ROFL.. he means dont listen to people that tell you;
    "you spend too much time in front of that computer, you need to go outside more often"

    at which point you can usually say: "but I'm shopping for a gift for you"

    and then fast tab to this page, which is already open in another window.

    and say, "this shopping sure does make one thirsty and hungry"

    lol

    I'm curious to see how this will work, but only curious. Nehalem will not be under my tree this year, that's for certain.

    I'd be curious to see 1 client vs 2 clients, and just run a 3rd to see how much the cpu can take. I know the overall ppd will drop, but how much will HT help? We'll have to see I guess.

    Maybe even a forth client, because this is what dual SMP on a Quad is doing right now - 2x a1 on one core. I'm eager to see what i7 can do for us.
