bloody loop 2: gpus and mosfets

    on with the second loop...

from the res (one of the left)

    down to the pump

up to the rad on top

to the mosfets (it's there somewhere in the jungle of tubes)

    to the gpus

through the vipercheck before going back to the res

    view of the entire loop

    wow man...

"it's like a forbidden jungle down there..." (compliments of adam sandler)

Seriously though, there is something to be said for planned chaos. I think this is an amazing project and that your loops turned out great. The only things i see that are kinda questionable are the cathode wires. Is there a way to tuck them close to the back of the case by the cathode box maybe? just an observation.... Otherwise GREAT WORK!

    haha. thanks Roodbaard.
but yeah, it was a bit ambitious on my part to include the mosfets.

yeah, i'm still working on the bleeding and leak testing. will have the system up maybe in a few days. when it's stable then i work on the wirings. but thanks, i will definitely try to keep it tidy... or bearable at least.

but after all that effort in putting everything in... i am so tempted to change my case. maintenance is a pita. haha. got so many scrapes and cuts on my knuckles just trying to reach in the case and connecting stuff.

haha. thanks for the offer man.
but i'll keep the case for another build and have a more 'industrial' bench case for the wc system.

    Hey bianco!

Way to go Xtreme! Think I'll have to read over your whole thread again from start to finish!

New case hmmmm..... I had the exact same idea a few months ago...... and now I have ended up at the Extended Ascension (Version of the BDS). Just waiting for more funds (and seeing what the exchange rate does) before I push the order button! (early christmas present! lol)

Most importantly what are your temps like on your hardware?

Really nice work. It's been great to see this worklog progress really nicely. Are you going to take some pictures of the whole thing?

WOW man thats like 100 ft of hose!!! Looks good does all that tubing affect the airflow at all? Those Viperchecks look amazing.

haha. mm cases are like mansions for pc components. good choice! i'm sure you'd have more configurations for your stuff to put in. i've been toying with the idea of having a 'torture rack' type of case. i'm still fiddling with google sketchup and see what i can come up with. those loops are really killing the airflow and it's a big pita to reach in and fix things on the mobo.

as for the temps... i've just finished hooking everything up. will have to install the os and drivers, etc. will have it posted once done. a bit busy this weekend, need to meet up with interior decorators to fix up a new apt that my wife and i bought.

yup, i'll have a showcase type of pictorial... a lot of pics of the finished product... so much until you guys scream stop! hahah.

actually those are about 10ft of tygons. minus the trimmings that i had to do while fitting it in. right now, there's hardly any air coming from the front to the mobo area. i haven't placed the side panel in so that air can freely go from the side.

yup, those 2 red orbs look devious! wonderful stuff from viperjohn.

hi masxerofkartis. i was able to find the pics finallly! they were done before i painted the case and all...

i used the mesh that i cut from the case itself

measured them just about the same width as the ek d5 xtop holes

screwed a fan grill in between the ek d5 top and the mesh i cut

    voila... pump mounted

Thanks a million man. I would do that in my worklog but since i don't have space for that thick rad i guess i just gonna mount it on the drive bay

Wow, that's a crazy inventive way to mount, that's great.

Although now that armeniandave has a 120mm pump mount, could have saved you a few steps.

no problem man. that was one of my earlier plans for the pump - have them in drivebays. but eventually, i decided, i needed the drivebays more. matter of priority... need compromise, i guess.

haha. thanks bro. problem with the mount is that it doesn't fit the ek d5 xtop perfectly. i didn't want to drill holes in either the top or the mount. if i used the undesign bracket, i'd have to use the stock d5 mount.

haha. glad it wasn't what you thought... although trying to manage the tubes could be considered... wrestlin'. haha.
