Was going to update my post but Marcam beat me So far we are already up to $85! Oh I also edited my other post to correct the name The page was still loading and I saw thehinge1 then the post Marcam made. My bad for being impatient enough to not wait for the page to finish loading

Ket, all respect as you are right concerning these manufacturers and their modus operandi. Despite your comment indicating otherwise, it is not something I am unable to grasp or have not. Also, a good job of further inducement to the thread posters here. Dense you are not! You do good for many here and you should be rewarded in some way besides all the written praise and offers of freebies. Can't really knock someone for being an MVP with something they put good effort towards....and you do.

Anyway, I will drop this because while it should be apparent to many what I find fault with, this particular thread's respondents are, by their own needs, willing to ignore some aspects of it.

Good wishes. As things stand today, and concerning the main thrust of my original posting, I would be thrilled if Ket owned my next board.

Nobody is ignoring you m8, but sometimes people have to help eachother to reach a mutual beneficial result Even if Biostar or any other manufacturer were to send me a mobo, I would do the exact same thing and improve its BIOS then let X amount of people use and reap the gains.

Well, after becoming familiar (more or less) with everything in the TPower BIOS heres a list of improvements and tweaks to be done

    - Re-enable "load failsafe defaults"
    - Optimise "optimal defaults"
    - Add P4 support

I've also seen some interesting things in the BIOS.. under "auto overclock system", some will be familiar with seeing "V6 Tech Engine", poking around the BIOS code I found a V8 and a V12 Other things will have to wait until thorough testing can be done with various memory ICs such as memory compatibility.

I would genuinely love to chip in but unfortunately I'm probably one of the poorest people on the forum, despite owning an E8600, etc. That stuff in my sig took a lot of saving up for and a lot of selling of my possessions to buy. However, this thread isn't about me and I'm not wanting to post sob stories! I just want to say RESPECT to Hinge for making this thread!

@ Ket: Does this mean we'll no longer have you making mBIOS for us P5Q series users?

Thanks, Dee. I understand more than you may know: I'm still laid off & looking for work, but I've been selling stuff here & there to support my computer habit/pay bills as needed (and the real reason I may only be able to keep one P45 board+have to sell my E7200). Hopefully I won't have to pay all of the shipping to Ket but will if that is what it takes to get it done. I figure after all the additional wasted time & grief he spared me on the P5Q-E this is the least I could do, even if it means I don't buy as much petrol next week.

Sorry to hear that m8, being laid off sucks. I suffered that fate not long ago myself, now I'm just doing what needs to be done to get by like you.

Anything could of been meant by that, eg; helping out with a family business.

I'm working today, but not for a paycheck...

Here's a better explanation of today's activities since you asked:

I used to race autocross and time trials with my 1974 Datsun (Nissan) 260Z. I was going to restore her, but due to time/effort/lack of funds I'm taking inventory and cleaning in my 'garage/shop space'.

If you are into old S30 series Z cars or simply want to bug out on some pretty darned rare NISMO/Nissan Motorsport gear go here:http://photobucket.com/thehingeZparts

Hopefully that sorts your question a bit, and if you take what I just typed as sarcasm none was intended. It breaks my heart to let that stuff go and I'm sweating balls right now.

Be honest, if clarification hadn't been asked for you wouldn't even of been saying that would you? Now things have been clarified your still not satisfied. Some people Anyway lets get the thread back on top its strayed off topic for a whole page almost.

    To Summarise:

We are currently up to $85
I have started work on a TPower mBIOS, full list will be put up when I've done all the work I can do at this stage.

It's not a lack of satisfaction, it's a desire to not see you or anyone else get screwed over and associated with a troll in the process. Surely you can understand the concern?

I can understand the cause for concern, BUT, all these people wanting to do this who have donated so far (or at least from what I have seen) are P5Q series owners who have been helped with my mBIOS, so I have no reason to distrust them.

perhaps might I suggest 3 things

    Name of donator
    Amout of donation
    Total money collected

be posted for everyone to view not just 1 member with a sketchy work history

ETA: Grn... calling my work history sketchy is pretty well flamebait. You have NO idea what went down, so don't assume things you don't know.

And who said I don't intend to post everything for all to see?

Well, I tell ya what, and I appreciate caution because this is the internet... 1. I offered my eBay username going back 6 years, 2. I'm simply trying to do something nice for someone, 3. If I was a thief, I would not be asking folks to chip in a few bucks or whatever. Committing federal (interstate) wire fraud is not worth the cost of a motherboard.

So if you guys really wants to make this into a troll/fest and lose the whole intent of this threads purpose fine - I can think of two options: 1. We can all agree on a better known forum member to do this and he/she takes over from here, or 2. My sincerest apologies to Ket and f*** it, someone please delete this thread and I won't waste my time here any longer.

Wanna know more about me? Have some balls and PM me directly instead of trying to make me look bad because you are not the one getting a board. I'm a grown man, some some stupid kid or dirtbag.

I'm done and will let the people decide.

A grown man wouldn't reply in such a childish way, IMO. We're not bitter because we're not getting a motherboard, we're just thinking of the forums users donating for nothing. And for Ket getting smeared with a bad rep. I couldn't care less about a Biostar TPower...board and I very much doubt Grn would really care either with a Maximus2, Maximus1 and a Rampage Formula...

Lay off with the attitude, if you were legit you'd be more than happy for people to question the motives of the thread because you'd have nothing to hide...

Of course there is no reason to distrust the people donating the cash! It's the person receiving it who is in question...

Ket, I think you're doing a brilliant job, Grn and Myself are just concerned for those donating cash and for your good name being possibly tarred.

Actually, you will see reading the whole thread thehinge1 has no problems answering any questions, but I would say whats annoying him as its also annoying me as its taking the thread way off topic is the continued attempts at slamming him. Bottom line: I can only mod BIOS code successfully with the relevent board, and thehinge1 is just trying to help out. Also as thehinge1 has said, hes happy for a more well known member to take over the handling of funds. You want to kup?
