Well, I tell ya what, and I appreciate caution because this is the internet... 1. I offered my eBay username going back 6 years, 2. I'm simply trying to do something nice for someone, 3. If I was a thief, I would not be asking folks to chip in a few bucks or whatever. Committing federal (interstate) wire fraud is not worth the cost of a motherboard.

So if you guys really wants to make this into a troll/fest and lose the whole intent of this threads purpose fine - I can think of two options: 1. We can all agree on a better known forum member to do this and he/she takes over from here, or 2. Actually, you will see reading the whole thread thehinge1 has no problems answering any questions, but I would say whats annoying him as its also annoying me as its taking the thread way off topic is the continued attempts at slamming him. Bottom line: I can only mod BIOS code successfully with the relevent board, and thehinge1 is just trying to help out. Also as thehinge1 has said, hes happy for a more well known member to take over the handling of funds. You want to kup?

Because as appreciated as the concern is, I'm sure the current donators have already thought about that and are happy to donate, as I'm sure anyone considering making a donation will also take that into consideration, and at this stage now its just making the thread stray away from its purpose and filling it with posts that make progress hard to follow.

To date we are up to a total donation fund of $85! We are already halfway there, a and a to all those who have kindly offered a donation so far.

I was being quite sarcastic, yes - especially about the "You're not getting a mobo part" (it's a budget board as you well know).

Anyhow - did you read any of my earlier (sincere) responses? Did you click on that link I posted earlier of what I'm 'working' on today? I took a bunch more pics to post tonight.

I got a little steamed because someone insinuated I was not being on the level without ever asking any questions. All this while I was busy negotiating the sale of a $700 NISMO oilpan going to Canada (woohoo!), and the pics of it are on that link. I also have ads out in classifieds at Zcar.com & grassroots motorsports forums and am trying to go thru mountains of NOS & raceparts. Today I inventoried, thoroughly inspected, and photo'd an R200 3.70 LSD, two R200 'opens' in 3.545 & 3.90, two intakes, two NOS fenders, four sets of wheels(Compomotive, Enkei, ARE & one set of unknown origin), race + street rubber, two transmissions, a complete flywheel/clutch/friction plate setup, a whole bunch of NOS fasteners that are not all marked with PN's, an entire rear suspension subassembly, various, lamps, lenses, and housings, an airdam, a grille, a valance, and a lot more.

I was wrong to get pissed, but dead serious about someone else taking this idea over. I'm too busy selling my race kit to bother with this if it is going to become some type of huge fiasco. I DO NOT have a problem with folks wanting to know more about me - just please ask before you insinuate or judge me, fair enough?

Both of you provide a great service to the community and I know myself this coming friday when I'm paid I will be putting some money forward as I have this very board and think the bios could be greatly improved myself.

And that leaves me two options.. either way and hope the manufacturer does it or someone of the modding community does it faster and better.

Personally to me option #2 is a better idea.

If so why do we not just give Ket the cash, let him get the board, and that way if something were to go wrong he would also have the warranty to RMA, and continue working on it.

On top of which it would be a much shorter wait in transit and cost less money, shipping it only once instead of twice.

Just a thought, not poking anyone here.

BTW, I am donating $10, if someone was to run away with my $10, first I would not be worried and I would move on with my life, second if I was worried about the $10 I am donating, I should not be doing it in the first place.

Paypal cannot take money from your BANK account without concent.
The only thing that can happen is your PAYPAL account gets a negative balance and the letters/phone calls start comming.

Thats why I say they were attempting to take money, they didn't answer my emails or calls, so I just blocked them at the source. Theres [lenty of other methods of payment out there anyway and I prefer to just make a direct bank transfer if I'm buying something from someone in a forum for example, my experiences prove it to be much safer than using paypal.

Didnt know that! My account deffinately wasnt negative though, it was sitting there with nothing in it. Eitherway thats all in the past and good riddance to paypal I say, so many horror stories out there to do with them.

Out of curiosity whats the difference between buying new and open box off the egg? Living in the UK I've never had the privilege to find out I always assumed it just meant stuff was missing or something.
