That's interesting MnM. Worth looking into.

What bothers me though are your voltages and temps. Why can I bench my qx9650 at 485x9.5 with 1.55v NB on the 790i and you need 1.67v for 430 x 10.

I don't like these high NB volts for 24/7. It only took around 1.55v NB to kill two DFI P35-T2Rs I had. 1.55v, squealing for a week or so then buggered.

You're also hitting 78c there aren't you? I'm surprised OCCT doesn't stop and warn about temps. Personally I want to keep my cpu at a max of what 64c during OCCT if poss.

Then PLL. Does anyone know what's safe for PLL voltage? I know with the P5K deluxe and Q6600 I'd hit a barrier at 3.7ghz and the only way through was with a bump in PLL. Don't know how this works for the 45nm QX.

Maybe there's a secret setting, but it seems to me this board needs too much voltage for the QXs. I'm going to stick mine back in the 790i, just to check things out.

I've been reading up on the blackops and apparently there was a similar issue. A bios update fixed this, so that the same clocks required less voltage.
