When I first got the EVGA 790i, I could have thrown every gtl value and tweak at it, my q6600 just wasn't going to hit 3.5ghz+. I knew the chip was more than capable. Thanks for the info.
My current sticks won't do anything other than AUTO so far, so I'm looking for something else. I want to make this board work, but I'm still considering going back to the Rampage Formula
Instead of spending weeks banging my head against the walll, I cut my losses and put the 790i away and ran a P5E3 Deluxe instead. I then just waited for the next bios release. When that came out a few weeks later, I flashed the 790i and had my Q6600 benching at 4.1ghz.
Basically what I'm saying is that it may well be an idea to go back to your Rampage formula for a bit. A lot less bl00dy stressfull.
I don't know much about the P5E3 premium, but that was a bit of dog to run wasn't it? The latest bios releases have made all the difference from what I gather.

Oh by the way, back on my P5E3 Deluxe for the timebeing![]()
