Ah... so... not all or many pair of HZ can run that speed ? only one of few kits that you have tested?

you may need more NB for it to work. i put a fan over my NB and use 1.46v- 1.54v depending on the cpu's speed. i know for a fact that i cannot get 5ghz cpu/2000mhz mem to boot into vista and get a screenshot. you may try the 9x multi and see if it works though. good luck.

    I set 500x8 (4000Mhz) and ddr3-2000 9-7-8-21 and 9-9-9-24 with 2.04 vdimm

    I use 1.4 for nbv

I have 3x120mm shooting directly to the mother... and corsair air flow over ram...

I`ll try to use more vnb

I was using Kingston HyperX. Pure garbage with this board.

A few people here had very good results with Gskill, so I bought the Gskill 2 X 2GB HZ 7-7-7-18 1.9V kit and it runs smooth.

On my E8600 machine, memory is running at 1680 at it's factory settings.

    Hello guys :p

I tried the mobo with my Q6600 and my phase the previous Friday.

WOW!! I love the FSB! 529FSB with my Q6600, while my P5E64WS Evolution stopped at 507FSB

    I used CPU-Z 1.45 (), so I can't validate my results.

Max MHZ. My Q6600 has more MHZ, but I had problems with my PSU (CM 400W )

And here is a completely untweaked SPI

The mobo didn't work well with my 1600 ADATA, but it worked very fine with one stick Corsair Dominator 1800C7D (the other is dead ). 1010MHz 7-6-6-15 ~2.2V. I can't find the screenshot at the moment, when I find it I'll post it

    Here you go.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231167

    It's listed at 1600 MHz

They also have the 2 GB kits if you only want 2 x 1 GB.

If price is a consideration and you want the 1333 MHz memory, I don't see why it should be much different. I would get the HZ one though.

    Question about 500+ FSB.

Let's say that I want to try 520 FSB and 8 x multiplier, would I have to increase the NB or FSB voltage?

    Bios 1406

Hi Guys , Bios version 1406 will be out very soon , ASUS is updating its support pages , HOWEVER if you don't want to wait until this is done , you can download it from ASUS server

    http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...ELUXE-1406.zip

Things went more stable for me with it and I think it is going to be a final release not a BETA , cheers ...

Has anyone been able to go past 540 FSB on air or water?

I have been able run 540 x 8.5 ~ 4.61 GHz , but I can't push my FSB any further. I even lowered the multiplier to 6 x and kept my memory at around 1600 MHz, and nothing.

If you have gone past that FSB, what settings did you use?

    Thanks.

ive gotten to 580. it wasnt hard but anything over that is a PITA. i got 620 to post somehow but not much else.

my board seems to have different settings depending on what day of the month it is. i may sound crazy but a lot of ppl i have talked to feel the same way. its just an odd board.

I agree totally, an example is, I set the system up for benching the quad at 4.4gig, Orthos it for 5 hours....no problems, do several very nice 2006 runs....no problems, save the profile, then a week later load the profile for some more benching......overclock failed! Everything is in the memory, I have the HZ's and I can run really tight upto 1600mhz (6-6-6-16) but always have stability issues at 7-7-7-18 (or 20) beyond 1600mhz unless I really loosten, for some reason my board does not like the 7 timings
