HD 4870 512Mb GDDR5 despite being launched later then GTX260, it came up on market first.

AMD is selling right now:
- HD 4870 512Mb GDDR5
- HD 4870 1Gb GDDR5
- HD 4870X2 2Gb GDDR5

And there is supply for everyone in every markets and many brandings.
256bit + GGDR5 was a very very smart move....

For Q1 2009 they can simply shrink RV770 to 40nm still using 256bit and jump to 5Ghz++ GDDR5.
