Well, frankly, I think it's not worth the hassle to try and get 1600 stable. I've seen posts stating that people are getting better throughput at 1333.

2 GB modules are a bit more of a load for the NB, but not as much as 4x1 GB. It is possible that you cannot get 1600 at all.

Other than that, Sav, I don't know your full timing settings, hence I can't tell you more than that.
