No one has mentioned -forcegpu while in some cases it can help getting a system runnig it seems. For ati cards the current codename is ( for every ati client ) r600, for the Nvidia's it's G_80 or G80 ( can't remember, UF has talked about this on the fah forums ).

It will force the check to be 'skipped' so if you're sure your device id is correct, and the you're using the correct code, it should avoid anyone else getting stuck.
