The Zotac Gddr2 card was a good bet for faster memory I think
damn it WHERE IS ANDY

I guess I'll play, I need to test my new 8600's anyway![]()
Well after much debate. i am going to order a ASUS 8600GT OC Gear, instead of the TOP. Just think i will go against the flow of TOP cards, and see how i fair
Was going to choose the Gainward 8600GT GLH, but the card costs nearly twice as much, and i wana go back to Ireland to see my girlfriend ASAP, lol. Decided i can wait a little longer though if it means im in this competiton!
Should be ready for action mid next week. Look forward to seeing everyones results!

I found a nice Zotac (for speed sake ... err time sake)
did some testing
got gaymoda ICs on my card
'01 >> 850MHz
'03 >> 800MHz
cries
core on air does 663MHz linked for '03 and 700MHz for '01
roughly around 54K and 21K on air
gotta get someone to help out with the mods will post high res images soon
nice PALiT- I am still trying t figure out which one -> if I go PALiT or get the Zotac I have been eyeing

Measure resistance between PIN #4 and ground.
Resistance *20 = VR. Tune down for more voltage.![]()

Pin 4 is the feedback pin for each of them. Measure resistance to ground and solder a VR ~20 times the resistance (set to max resistance first)
The left one is Vgpu and the right one is Vmem![]()
Jup, vmodding is so simple.
FB to ground resistance *20 for VR. Start with max resistance.
Blah, Moonman beats me to it, i already opened the datasheet for RT9259!
@Dino: Just measure the output voltage on the appropriate pin and you'll quickly know which regulator is the one you are looking for (Vgpu output voltage should be around ~ 1.2V, Vmem ~ 1.8-2V)
Just found the voltmods for the nVidia reference/Club3D 8500 & 8600GT:
