Yeah cause we just love it when our pcs turn themselves off.

Sorry about the MCW60. I've bought things without thinking too much too.

That new mobo just pushed this build from the "Insane" category to the "GodLike" category! Well done. I am super excited to see where this goes.

its simple really, these are the tools that you will need

    tools:

    1. saw (hack saw, scroll saw, band saw, dremel, etc)
    2. squaring tool (30, 60, 90 triangle, etc)
    3. file, sand paper, etc
    4. IPS Weld-On #4 (super glue, 2 part epoxy, etc)
    5. measuring tool (ruler, caliper, etc)
    6. clamps (vice, spring clamps, c-clamps, etc)
    7. some wood for clamping
    8. obviously some plexi (i used 2 piece of .125" plexi and glue it together)

what i did was measure the distance i wanted to cut with my calipers, marked it, squared it, set it up on a miter block and cut it straight.

lapped the end that i cut flat and clean with 150 grit sand paper and deburred the ends with a knife (backwards technic)

then i measured the end of the opening that i cut and marked it down on the plexi, squared it up and sanded it smooth.

then i made a small jig from some wood and just glued it together and clamped it down

easy probably missed some steps but you get the point

speaking of sound card, did you take that supremeFX II sound card from another asus mobo? i thought that sound card was only specific to the mobo it came with and wouldn't work with anything else. well, waiting to see how you solve this xfire and soundcard problem.

btw, what did you do with the old P5E-VM HDMI mobo?

yea the supreme doesnt work, ive asked around trying to see if i could get around it, apparently its hardware capped..

thats why i got the x-fi card a few pages back

i still have the P5E-VM HDMI, not sure what to do with it yet. i may just end up putting it up on a shelf with the rest of my non used mobos..

ill have the pics up in a few

That's some awesome PWM area for a mATX. This thing is going to put some ATX boards to shame.

Ha ha good catch. Looking good evil. Great shots too of the board. Looks like the original paste and contact was pretty good. Do you plan on watercooling anything but the cpu?

    thanks!

still need to finalize some parts for the case, if you didnt notice i added a side panel inside to cover up some of the ugly parts of the chassis. but it makes it hard to put in the mobo, so im going to make it removable. i need the second card to re think the routes of my tubes, and i have a few other things to do before getting deeper to finishing the inside of the case.

    cheers

yay for second 4870, boo for need single slot solution

its going to cost me 100 to get 2 sets of iandh sinks, with the fear of the top card not
getting air flow, so that 100 is probably better invested in a FC block.. just need to come
up with another reason to get the other block...

    cheers

Aesthetics of course. You can't have that one sitting all naked by itself, can you?

Very impressive what you're squeezing into something the size of a shoebox.
