I don't know of any good comparison. Would be nice to see, there are some nice choices for the 280's EK, DD, Aqua, EVGA and koolance come to mind. Most are single slot or damn close to it which is nice too.

I would say DD as the best choice atm, I haven't seen a single dead card due to DD block installation.

wah? That's the first I've heard of that problem. I'd like to know a little more on that issue before I press 'buy' on the EK website. I mean, I love the nickel plated blocks and want one desperately, but I also want a functioning GPU. . .

Aluminium top and no coolling for the ram on the other side of the card.
I prefer the eVGA block ... or the dangerden block. I don't like just her top in acrylic.
I will receive an other gtx next week, but now, I'm afraid to break one more time the card. Two cards in less than 1 month, I don't believe the RMA will work ...

    2. This is no problem - you can use any radiators.

yea that aquagrafx stuff turns me on a lot... i are jealous wc'er now but EK's nickel 4870 block is teh kühl as well.

i just wish the mounting holes on the EK blocks didnt deform the card for its back-pressure. im wondering if i should put some spacers in between the block's mounting holes, as well as getting longer screws and some appropriately sized springs to balance out the force needed to maintain excellent heat transfer while maintaining the planar uniformity of the gfx card.
    for the glory of bardob!

Thanks malik for that post, it sure is a sweet card! But I'm afraid I may need the option that Ek provides with hose mounting up or down (SLI feature) to make it work in my case. That AC card has only mounts 1 way

offtopic: anyone know the min PSU required for the 280? I have a M12 600 Seasonic and have done all the PSU calculations and I come up with no probs, but I'm curious if anyone has had issues with this level of power?

Maybe I screw with more strength. I will check when I will receive the card. But the other people who have this block did'nt complain about this problem.

A few tips to mount a block on a GFX card

For grease on mosfets and co ( if no tape is foreseen ) : arctic ceramique
Place the naked GFX card on a box
When tightening the screws do it as shown in the manual,NEVER overtighten !!
Verify at all times the straightness of the Gfx card with a ruler !!!

I mounted already 2 blocks on a 280 and 260 card they still operate normally... just take ya time, good material and all will be fine
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

The EK FC blocks only need standoffs, just like a stock cooler from nvidia.
That way the pcb wont't bend
