I read a review on new egg that the motherboard can't handle 8gigs of memory, because it doesn't play nice with 4 x 2gig sticks, but it plays nice with 2 x 2gigs & 4 x 1 gig sticks..?

I read the same thing - which is why I swapped it out with this:

The dual HD4870X2 are a waste of $1K.
