Is the MCW60 compatible with the 4870X2 ?

I am pleased to announce that the MCW60 will be directly compatible with the 4870X2 thanks to a custom set of screws that will be available shortly.

    We'll have pictures soon.

I am also taking this oportunity to announce the release of the MCW60 Rev2.

As many had guessed before, we upgraded from the 1mm pin matrix to the Stealth 0.6mm pin matrix. This is long overdue some will say, and I answer your'e right! The Stealth proved to be the best performing block on the market last year, and I expect Rev 2 of the MCW60 to follow suit.

We are shipping Rev 2 now, and the price remains the same.

Why? The current MCR's are great, especially when you consider the price...

Why a new MCR range? Don't fix it unless it's broken. Only XSPC have a product in that pricepoint and I would go with the Swiffy anyday over XSPC.

    We want pictures Gabe!

Nice to see a new MCW-60. I'll probably buy one of those along with the new chipset block. Impressive lineup Swiftech is releasing now.

When does the new chipset block ship?

All this new stuff coming out...tasty.

Gabe, I agree with Naekuh, it would be great if you can release just the new copper base and we swap it ourselves. But...maybe the original top is not a good design for the new pin matrix? After all, the old one was symmetrical and it looks like the GTZ is pretty specific about orientation...

    Thanks for the update!

neither. the MCW60 body holes line up perfectly with the 4870X2 gpu mounting holes. We are even trying to re-use the existing stock back brace!

hmm you are mixing the 60 with the GTZ. here we are discussing the 60..

as to selling the MCW60-R2 base plate alone, its a real PITA to match up inventory of plate & housings if we do, but WTH, if it makes our customers happy, I guess we'll have no choice but to accomodate!

EDIT: I didn't anticipate that, so it may take us time to make another production of just base plates. so hang in there upgraders, be patient, OK?

Ooops! My mistake...I just assumed a revision would use the new fancy micro pin matrix like the GTZ...
