Rattle, it's not temps it's voltages

My overvoltage table was made with a digital multimeter.

SRC Enabled, MemOC Enabled, Read training is Auto
    1.26NB
    1.32FSBv
    1.96 RAMv

    CPU is 8x425

Edit: Those settings just passed PL7/light with Pull Ins disabled. Everest, Read 9100mb/s 54.9ns. Better then what i got on PL8/Strong with pull ins(see top post this page). Since PL7/Moderate failed the only thing I got left to do is test with Pull ins enabled on PL7/Light

NB Voltage is way high mate, PLL 1.9 are you mad ? FSB Term on AUTO = way overkill... try my above settings first... see if you can get her stable at 4Ghz with 500FSB... How much volt you will need for ya CPU is CPU dependant... but 1.4 should be easily doable... if it posts and gets into windows yet craps out after some time it might be required to tweak the GTL's...once you get it stable try to go lower on PLL voltage and Vcore... then NB voltage (I can do 500FSB at 1.26Nb voltage with 4gb of ram)

If it's stable try to get the ram up to 1200Mhz, note that the rams are overvolted... 2.2 is around 2.28 actually... with 500FSB/1000Mhz ram PL 10 is possible, with 500FSB and 1200Mhz ram PL 8 might be possible... all depending on ya rams and other hardware... Clock twister and co can also be boosted but try to get 500FSB first...

Good bios is 1103 for me, no issues (till now)

    Keep us posted what gives...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Try to run the rams at their foreseen speed mate, 1200mhz now... keep us posted if it remains stable... if stable then mess first with static read control to enabled... this for me brings the most boost in ram... next up is PL level ( transaction booster ) try 10 and test, if stable go 9... and keep them reapers cooled !!!

And maybe you can still go a bit lower on CPU Vcore and CPU PLL voltage (try eg 1.56)

Cesar, enable static read control... test stability, chech with MemSet ya PL level plz, if it's still on auto in the bios (it's prolly 13) try eg 11 or even 10... I would run 4ghz daily mate and try to go as low as possible on the Vcore... you get the best performance on these mobo's using a divider so not 1:1 runs...

Well I figured out that my Q9450 is fine thank god but, I have two bad BIOS chips. I am currently able to run my Q9450 which I am on right now, on the 0704 bios version with the one chip I have left but, I can not get it to work with the 1102 or the 1103. Asus said they would send me two new chips so. I am goin to get them on their way Monday I guess. It is weird how I can't get the newer BIOSes to work.

You must not have seen all the issues I have been having. Ok I can't take all the credit obviously but, there must have been alot of people having issues with it.

Interesting but i dont have any problems with 1103... For me this is the best BIOS for P5Q Deluxe ever and with it i can do much more than any other version... I do impossible things such as my E8400 OC-ed to 4,34 GHz, who wont to go any furter than 3600 MHz before with any BIOS, happened ONLY with 1103 and i am happy with this So maybe the point is why BIOS-es do different things on same boards

Q6600 3.6ghz How to get Stable?

    I have a Q6600 Vid is 1.2875

What do i need to do in order to push it stable @ 3.6ghz.

Cooler is Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, I just lapped it tonight and applied new AS5 paste in a line on CPU as per instructions on Artic Silver site.

I have a P5Q Deluxe mobo ... Bios Is 1103 The offical one.

    Ram is G.Skill DDR2 DDR2_SDRAM 1000mhz 2 x 2GB = 4GB

    PSU is 650w thermaltake toughpower

    Video Card 1 x HIS 4850

Bascially does anyone have a template for this mobo and CPU combination fo what to try or use for a stable 3.6ghz .... yeah i know not all cpu's are the same and such.

Now what about this BIOS 1103 official?

CPU (quad, dual core,...), Mobo , Ram amount, FSB, Ram speed used,... all these things matter...
What is this Voltage you guys are referring to please?

What do i need to do in order to push it stable @ 3.6ghz.

Bascially does anyone have a template for this mobo and CPU combination fo what to try or use for a stable 3.6ghz .... yeah i know not all cpu's are the same and such.

Now what about this BIOS 1103 official?

This should give a good starting point mate, all depends a lot on ya CPU... maybe it can run with less Vcore, maybe it requires 1.55, it's a mix really of Vcore, GTL, PLL voltages... good luck
