Actually you know what I Think it was my video drivers for my 9600GT. I was running modded drivers by Tweakforce, but as soon as I reverted back to official forceware 175.19 for Vista x64, Crysis seems to be A-OK.

So what's the best bios for this board then?
I just got myself this board but i won't have time to build it in before saturday.
How bout the memoryslots? Are the black ones still better than the yellow ones for overclocking? The manual does not say anything about it.
I have board revision 1.01G PCB made in china, did i get an old version like always?

Official bios 1003 works fine for me. There is a beta bios 1102 (or 1103? I forget) that you can find linked in this thread, not sure if it's much better or different. Also the manual DOES say that the yellow memory slots are better for overclocking so use those first if you only have 2 dimms.

Im using the yellow ones myself too, to be honest I always use the slots closest the CPU socket area first (Channel A), and with only 2 stick would not really put them in the black slots anyway (Channel B), but I dont think ive looked through the manual at all yet so I cant comment on what the manual says about which slots to use.
As for the bios, I would stick to the offical bios 1003, its beautiful and stable, and ive achieved the same clocks as I had on the 08xx bios but with less voltage, therefore everything is running cooler, myself personally, I would never flash a beta bios, it voids warenty and if anything goes wrong, then you have pretty much killed your board.

I have just updated to the 1103 bios, seems ok upto now.I hope it means ballistix will actually work in this board,i have rma'd my 8500 tracers for the new 2.0v spec non tracer 8500's.I had endless bsods with the xxx1065 tracers so i hope these xxx106A non tracers are better.

Thats very strange, im using 4gb of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC6400 800mhz Tracer Red overclocked to 1030mhz, and didnt have any trouble with it in this board at all, just posted first time. This board says it supports Crucail memory in the Asus Memory Support List, I have never had any problems with Asus and Crucial, and been using them together for years, infact Asus are one of the only board manufacturers that actually list Crucial Products in there Memory Support List.

Hello.
It was something to do with the 8500 sticks,i bet your 6400's are duel sided. The single sided 8500 tracers were a fecking pain in the arse,i reinstalled twice, tried xp and vista, same thing. It was'nt until i put in the 1gb stick of pc6400 reaper that it ran fine.
They seem to be ok upto now,i have had them in a few hours now and no bsods or anything.

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
Is it any good or not? I want to know before I jump into the lake.
1.7%
If it's the same as the P5Q Dlx it's pretty good, adds some better scores for the ram and enhances compatabilty according the changelog from the Dlx... will flash tomorrow at my parents...

My p5q-e has been pretty much out of commision b/c it will not overclock with my geil ram. Will only run at stock clock. Hope this helps, thanks.

Siyah forgot to ask but could you post your Q6600 at 3.6 Ghz bios settingsÉ
Has anyone tested this board with a Q9550? I am in need of a new board and was wondering if the Deluxe is worth the price difference for my chip?
Thanks.

My rev 1.01G board shipped with 0605 BIOS - utter CRAP with my E7200, immediately flashed to 'official' 1103, and am at a very stable 523fsb, have run at 550fsb w/o issue but am trying to get my 9200 Reapers dialed in before I push higher again. I have gotten them to DDR1203 at 3:4 divider, but am going for 1:1 now.
My chip does 3944 fairly easily, does not want to push beyond it without too much work and voltage.
FWIW - I'm using my XP64 Pro setup straight off my P5K Pro mobo with only new chipset software and some driver changes. Once I get the limits of the P5Q-E figured out I will slick the drives and go with a fresh RAID 0 install.
