yea were just being silly
whats wrong with that? besides needing to buy onewould you guys pay more for a thumb screw?
i know exactly what you mean, still waiting on the quote which i hope to get soon so i can calculate the pricing.
thanks
yea definitely, the thinner version is getting my pick as it would be more functional to fittings that are really close together
if only i had diamonds laying around... lol
these would only work with 3/4" OD tubing, once i get the quote i can design it in various sizes
yes, black-oxide steel
thanks for the support guys, im going to call in once they open to see if i got a quote yet.
edit:
the thing about plating is i dont know how flexible it is, i wouldnt want the plating to start cracking.. i know i can get it anodized in different finishes, like a dust finish so we can get a satin look
hopefully i can get a few batches plated to see how well it holds up before i get a whole batch plated
thanks for reminding me i almost forgot about that.
cheers

Thumbscrew FTW!
Please give some love for the 5/8" OD clamps. Been hunting for black metal ones and yours is the perfect ticket. Even make in copper depending on the mix.
Also, think of chamfering the edges where the clamp close so you avoid pinching the tube and not seal properly. With chamfered edges, it will naturally push the tubing skin inward instead of being pinched if you see what I mean.
would you guys pay more for a thumb/socket head crew combo?
i will definitely look into other size clamps, and as for the edges, depending on the process i choose to manufacture these they will either all be filleted, or deburred in a huge high speed media vibrator also doubles as polishing too![]()
Those look nice, but don't underestimate the importance of sealing a tube. I don't like wet components. The reason I use worm drive clams is to get the best seal I can. If I could get someting that looked good and sealed as well as a worm drive . . .but since were just sealing a tube we dont need to get complicated.

Like case screws? Yes. However, I MAY prefer the original screws, since they would be low profile. An easy solution would be to sell the clamps/screw separately. That would also help satisfy most of the odd color combos people have been requesting.
(I'm NOT saying anything bad about Purple/Black... Or Green/Red... However in the case of Brown/green, Well....)![]()

Hey, these look interesting!
Alu body & hex screws. Should be one hell of a sturdy hose-mount...
You were not supposed to see this.
Dam! Knocked off AGAIN lol.
Whoops, forgot the link, sorry.

about the fourth post or so.
I am guessing your finding out production is expensive and they want you to buy a LOT of them. Look great though, nice work.
heres another update 5/8 OD clamps
![]()
Wait, so if I'd be using Masterkleer 7/16, I'd want the 3/4 OD? O_O
Anyways, how much do you suppose each will be?
What kills the cost is the little fine touches like bevels and radius's on the edges etc. This post production stuff adds up fast and without it they just lack the magic. If you order 10K it's still pretty steep. Add in finishing costs--pre polish and anno and/or plating and it just gets out of hand. Casting is a better method but the tooling is insane so you have to sell a ton just to recoup that cost. I went ahead and had them done for the Monsoon line to be included with the Ghost fittings, but they are a loss leader (for me at least) sadly. I am glad I didn't spent the $$$ for tooling now because it never fails you fork it out and a month after you start selling them another company does too for less money.
Yea they will be expensive, but just make them as an enthusiast item. People expecting it to be cheaper with the barbs then a compression fitting aren't being realistic, that just wont happen, each clamp will most likely be the cost of a compression fitting.
