Someone in the HardForums pointed out that the foxconn board has been on sale in China already for a couple weeks or so. So yeah I bet it's just waiting on some official launch date with fan fair and banners and whatever.

Anandtech's Gary Key updated his blog with latest 9600BE on SB750 OCing results:
    http://www.anandtech.com/weblog/showpost.aspx?i=473

He hit 3.1Ghz@1.478V on new Foxconn board, while on SB600 the top he managed was 2.8Ghz.
Max stable with high volts(1.57V) was 3.33Ghz on that 9600BE chip.
So far so good with B2.

    WHERE ARE THEY???

    <insert SCREAM>

<insert sound of sobbing like a little girl>

Heck... I'll take some nice shiny new reviews to read that show actual PERFORMANCE at the higher clocks... that would make me happy for a few days.

Im sure there are however maybe we're speaking about pico seconds or what so ever, nothing significant

Now Im back from a 2 week holiday and a little bit sad there's still no SB750 for sale though. Good to see Asus announced a M3A79-T board however Im wondering if they're also planning to get their earlier shown M3A78-T board out as well (that's the RS780D+SB750 combo).

And I hope the most a ROG board however Im afraid if they would release it, it will take a while. Their Intel ROG boards are announced months before the actual release and we've not seen any sign of an AM2+ ROG board yet. Then again I think the Crosshair II was there 'at once' and wasnt announced a long time before the actual release neither so who knows

Yeah i get your frustration,i feel the same.IF we are to judge by Asus announcement, then boards from other makers are already being shipped out.
But the main thing is the fact that SB750 is not a marketing gimmick and that it actually works! Many were skeptical about it and that it wouldn't actually get us anywhere, but we see Gary Key reporting even older 9600BE B2 chips hitting as high as 3.3Ghz(with higher volts tho) even though that particular sample wasn't stable @ anything above 2.8Ghz on SB600 based high end motherboard.
Waiting is the worst part .

Just reminding myself (and the others) that DFI is almost always "late"
with their offerings, 790fx-M2r was the "almost" part last year.
However it still took a few good months for them to get the BIOS tuned up
The way I see it is like this:
they can have it out "early" with "half-baked" BIOS like the M2r was or they will
do the "usual": 2 or so months later, after every other company released their
products. Hopefully a miracle will happen and they'll pop out all their boards
with decent BIOSes in a few days.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Very true however keep in mind it's only a southbridge change for the 790FX based boards. I think the majority of the BIOS doesnt even have to get changed for the new SB750.

Although we never know with DFI

mmh i dont know. sil will be removed, 6 sata ports will be connected directly to the southbridge and dont forget the 6 magical pins that require direct connection to the cpu.. i think they will have to do some layout rework..

Hmm... my 9600 BE maxed out at 2.8ghz with 1.25v, nothing farther was stable with SB600. Does this mean I have 5 different phenoms that will clock 3ghz+

Hope it helps my opty 1356 a bit, I can't get it to do anything over like 215x11.5 completely stable, but at least it only takes 1.2v for that.
Not much to say right now.

An interview with an AMD employee made a statement that all current Phenoms can hit 3Ghz which made me 110% convinced the SB750 will give us better results and that the current OC's are all crap due to the SB600.

I don't understand why Anandtech is the only site to have a preview of the SB750. They can't be the only site that received one to test and I have a hard time believing no other site would like the bajillion hits from everyone trying to find out more information regarding these. I could see maybe a couple days difference if you wanted to tighten up your testing and try a lot of variations or whatever. But it's been longer then that.

    Just speculating:

They haven't actually shown any benchmark results. ONLY the overclock speeds. Perhaps there was an NDA and it was worded such that benchmark results must be held but since it didnt' say anything about overclock frequencies anand is showing these.

Most sites would just wait... especially if the official release is in the next few days.

(I know probably a bad guess... but who knows.)

I'm still hoping for an official release tomorrow... and newegg already having them in stock... and paying the overnight shipping to have it friday. OH YEAH.

Yeah... I know... it was a dream. But monday would be okay also.

I'm just wondering about the 6 pins... I just hope it's not like the 3 sea shells. (Reference to the movie Demolition Man.)
