Overall we feel that Gigabyte has created an impressive high-end P45 motherboard in the EP45-DS4, that should suit the needs of most users.
    There's also a pretty nice Gigabyte P43 verssion of this board for less than $100 US. That means less than $300 for 4GHz.

    P43 uses DDR2 800 or 1066. I got 4GB of Muskin 5-4-4-12 for $60 after MIR. Where are prices? A bud built a Q9300 for about the same prices his P4EE and about $50 more than his FX-55 PROCESSORS alone. Can't bash Intel or AMD, he once paid $650 for a nVidia video card.

    The whole computer was a jump in technology so why is the hell are Motherboard Prices going higher and higher? Because folks keep happily paying more and more. This market can influence prices but many misguided folks keeping price artificially high. Example! His old system is the first number and the New one is the second! Please also note that the Price of EVERY part is cheaper except the motherboard.

    Asus A8N SLI 16X-->Gigabyte DS3L P45 version
    Athlon Sc-939 4400+--->Intel Q9300
    WD 160GB---->WD-500GB (later added a second 750GB)
    1GB of OCZ DDR-400 via 2X 512MB sticks, 2X 2GB sticks
    Audigy 2ZS-->X-Fi XGamer
    2 16X single layer DVD-RW-->2 SATA 20X DL DVD-RWs
    nVidia 6800---->nVidia 8800GT
    19"-Sony CRT vs 22" Acer LCD

    Same case and New PSU. In each case, the New tech is much better and cheaper. These Asus motherboards haven't kept up with time, they've went back to the bad old days of High prices. I wish *enthusiasts would STOP over paying for this stuff.

    Excellent, now I just need to find Aluminium CPU and GPU blocks so I don't have any nasty Cu eating it all! :flamethrower:

    Seriously though, I love the look of this board and it will look excellent with a pair of chunky graphics cards from the red team. Any chance I can get hold of one within two weeks?

    Actually.. I think it look aluminium like is caused by the lighting, if you take a look at these pics;

    The block looks pretty copper-like... but all is speculation until someone can give definitive proof.
