From my reading up on power supplies people usually agree that a single rail is the best. The Turbo Cool 1200W has a peak handling of 1400W so I should be OK, but it also has 100A on the 12V rail. Also modular supplies might be more convenient but they have issues, better just to customise the cables you want. I have a Tagan BZ1100 that I use on my HTPC, it is a beautifully built piece of kit, with screw-in connectors.
I am still playing with the EVGA 790i. So far I have not been able to get it to 9 X 450 as I did with the Asus. Also it doesn't let my memory run at 1T at stock speeds like the Asus board.
I like the fact that GTL_REF voltage can be read in the bios, as far as I know you can't get this from the Asus. I might get my new S2E out of the box soon.
