My Maximus2 came with no contact between heatsink and NB at all. Practicaly ZERO contact. First thing, i removed the heatsink and aplied MX-2 thermal compound on the NB and SB. After that i had a lot better temperatures, but still wanted to get something better. A friend of mine had the EK NF4 waterblock from his last motherboard and didnt need it anymore. So he gave it to me, here is a preview what came out:
New holes were made in the original acrylic top and used the original screws. Results are cool and quiet.
