Well, 49C isn't bad for the SB.
And of course it depends on your room temp.
If for example you've got 27C room temp then 49C @ SB is fine.
The ICH9R can work reliably up to 70C, so it's ok at 49C

I've been using it ( 0504 ) and had no problems at all ( I mean BIOS related issues ).
