no thanks man, it's a pleasureIt has been given on Jmax-Hardware and I don't have any changelog.
I tried it and it sound real similar to 0504, excepted that it increases the fsb again, 10mhz on fsb.
I'm very desappointed because it doesn't solve none of my difficulties to set fsb@500+ram@800, any strap![]()
still getting dozens of D4 code
I'm now almost sure it's a bug of my board, since no one reports the same issue.
Hoping it suits more to you guys, for now I'm so cloce to get back to Gigabyte X38T-DQ6, which is more conciliant, even if less good on clock to clock calculation and way less good for fsb.

I have this board and 2x2gig of the G-Skill HZ's on the way this week. Hopefully there will be some good feedback on the newest 0601 bios before next weekend. Also, is there any chance that I could run 4x2gig of the HZ's? Has anyone had any luck with 8gig in this board?

Trying to run 4x2gb now with QX9650 and bios 0504. Ram is rated 800mhz 7-7-7-18 but anything over ~700mhz 8-8-8 wont even boot for now. First time i use 2gb sticks so its me not board most likelyTips are more then welcome

Hey Murdock
If your P5E64WS Board is like my P5E3 you will not be able to run all 4 sticks at the rated speed unless you adjust the "Clock Twister Skew", on Channel A +B. I suggest trying 250ps and also raising your Row Refresh Time (fRfC or Cycle Time) do something like 60, 72, or 88 to see if that helps, you also might want to raise your NB Voltage to 1.43V as well as your DDR2 Voltage to just small amount over your rated specs. Ie 1.9 if the rating is 1.85.
Stop looking at the walls, look out the window
Running 2 kits of the new OCZ3X16004GK for a total of 8G at the moment. I believe this kit is pretty much the same as the OCZ3P16004GK with the addition of XMP in the SPD. This is with a QX9650 at stock speed.
Definitely not plug and play! I am not even overclocking! Took me a week of constant testing to get it somewhat stable. Manually set timing of 1333/7-7-7-20, all other RAM parameters to auto. Trfc 72. DRAM Voltage 1.66V, Vnb 1.29V (any higher Vnb is unstable on my system)
Had to adjust DRAM Clock SKEW of DIMM B1/B2 to Advance 75ps.
CPU Skew to 300ps. NB Skew to 200ps.
Ai clock twister to lighter. CPU and FSB spread spectrum disabled.
Ai Transaction booster to auto.
Not great but works for me with a pair of 4850 in CF.
If anybody can clue me in to further tweaking WITHOUT raising Vnb, I am all ears......

I think I will stick with the 2x2gig kit that I have coming for now. Maybe in a few weeks, once I get it up and running stable, I'll consider picking up a second 2x2gig kit and try it out.

My experience with 2x2GB RAM is that it is very important to use the black slots (A2+B2) for stability! Never tried 4x2GB though. I can not get FSB 445 stable with RAM 1:2 either so it really stresses the NB to use 2x2GB+ memory. 2N may also be mandatory if you crank up the speed of the memory.

Hi, I have 4Gb Corsair DDR3 1800 and a QX9770 with this board. Which parameters are better to overclock the cpu to 4Ghz?
With 0601 vcore is very unstabel on my board. Does 0506 support E8600?

I am wondering if anybody here is having similar problems with me with this board.....
When I try to suspend (S3), 6 out of 10 times, the power led will flash (indicating system in suspend) but the hard disk light will be on, PSU and fans also stays on. It this state, system will not come out of suspend unless manually turn off via holding power switch or a power off at the PSU.
If let in this state for a prolonged time, my OS hard disk will become so corrupted that I had to restore from backup. I tried this on 2 hard disks and both exhibited the same symptom so I am pretty sure it is not a hard disk problem.
Also, I have USB flash drive configured as Norton Ghost 14 boot disks and Vista x64 install disk. However, the P5E64 WS Evolution will only boot those disk if they are attached to the usb boards at the back panel. If the USB is attached to dongles via the motherboard headers, they won't be recognized as bootable. The motherboard usb headers have no problems with normal USB operations in the OS, or with USB keyboards attached in preboot (BIOS) environment so this is probably not a hardware issue either......
I am on BIOS 0601.
Many thanks.
