This board seems stable so far for me below 500fsb..... although I tried to boot at 550fsb with a low multi/ram frequency, and it didn't post.... So I don't know what to think.
    bios 601.

Also, is it me, or the latest OCZ mems aren't good? I mean, I tried mine pc12600 platinum 450x9 = 4050mhz with 1800mhz mem 8-8-8-24 1.90v to 1.98v, and prime fails.... But with the ratio set to 1500mhz its Ok.

What voltage should I apply to the NB, SB, PLL, FSB termination etc..... ? what about skews? what values should increase memory/fsb/cpu stability?

    So far I'm stable at 473x8.5= 4000mhz with mems 1500mhz 7-7-7-24 1T 333strapping

Well, got the Evolution up and running tonight. Running 2x2gig of G-Skill DDR3-1600 and my QX9650 at 3.20 ghz (just to start with). My only complaint is the Marvell esata controller. All it does is lock my entire system up whenever I try and power on an external hard drive, then on top of that, it never sees the hard drive at all. Is there a trick to this lousy controller???

That's a load of crap! What is the point of esata if it cannot be hot-plugged!!! Oh well, other than that, this board is rock-solid! Now, to tweak the ram a bit...

Today I started to have a play with this new ASUS motherboard, the P5E64 WS Evolution.

I have been doing some stock air testing with this today for the I34 event this weekend to see what it can do, I am not fully familiar with the board yet but it is looking very good even on stock air cooling, with just 1.45v on the core and memory running 1.1 I can get 626FSB out of this board with memory timings of 5-5-5-18, I am sure there is more to come from it yet from this M/B

It is not fully stable at this kind of FSB yet but can easy do an 8M-spi with 620fsb and 610fsb 32M-spi so a few more tweaks and it should be there.

Anyway here is a pic showing what it can do on air.

A little more playing and now 632fsb, but take a look at the memory timmings, WOW this M/B is very impresive, i can not wait to see what it can do with loads of LN2 on it.

I played with the memory a bit and tried out 1T command rate. It was a no go. I got random reboots in Vista, especially when using PerfectDisk 2008 to defrag. I set it back to 2T and all is well again.

    wow!

1,9 PLL, it was on purpose certainly. Should I try pushing this also without worries ? I'm on AIR for the NB and good WC on cpu since the start on this mobo.
strap ? BIOS 0601 ? or 0504 ? Single channel ? ...please tel my autocascade is back soon

Edit: I could push it a bit futherer when rolling back to 0504 BIOS... still 1,5 vPLL

    :P

    It is.
But... I don't know if I'd recommend anybody to upgrade now while Nehalem launch is coming soon.

there is not much bandwidth with the speed the memory is running at but by having the tight memory timmings at 1-1 this should perform very well.

I've increased it's fsb from 13Mhz on the 0504 BIOS.

I was wondering about the Marvell controller:
is it possible to create a raid array using two internal sata disks with this controller, or is it mandatory to use an internal disk coupled with an external sata disk?

More over, does this controller allow enabling and disabling of AHCI feature?
