I've been trying to OC my 8800 GTS 512 in these few days and I quite shocked with the results. Here are my 3D Mark 06 scores:

    Stock (650/972) = 135xx
    OC1 ( 700/1050) = 141xx
    OC2 ( 725/1000) = 144xx

Shader clocks are auto-linked. Overclocking only brings few hundred points or improvement? My temps are running great <80 at load. Still trying to find the best stable settings. Are the G92 already pushed to their max? Or memory bandwith is hurting their performance?

Hi, i hit over 16k in my sig, I find it interesting with the 3Dmark06 scores that there could be a 2-4k
swing created by cpu. If you look at both of my scores, on the 20k i got my E8500 up past 4.5ghz\
and look at the cpu score but on my 8800gts 512 run I used my X3210 and only got that to 3.5Ghz and
what is it, 2k more then a E8500 at over 4.5Ghz. When i was trying to pump my scores i quickly
realized that even with good gains in the GPU settings they didn't reflect as strongly as pumping the cpu....
So now i am going to play with the 9800GX2 and a quad and I bet i can get it to 23-25k, jsut because i am using a quad.

Look at the highest scores here, they are all high pumped quads.///

Just wanted to note my observations.....

    regards/steve

Insane stuff. Are these the G92 8800GTSs or the original 320-bit ones.

    Hey mates,

i already reached these clocks: http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/76yhs/

I want to test them now. How can I test the card for stability?

hmmmm i cant seem to get as high of clocks as you guys....

would it be beneficial to take the heatsink off and re-apply the thermal paste? or would that not make to much of a difference?

what r yur pci-express clocks at in BIOS?

    Hey you mite like this...

GTS(g92) had lots fun pushing it too when it first came out..

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...55#post3305855

    Note:
My Score for 3Dmark06 with 3.5ghz X2 and 9600BE @2.5ghz...The highest score was with my 9600BE...

I used X2 @3.5ghz and X4 B2@ 2.5ghz to mearly show that a X4 was a better choice to go with even with a low MHZ it performed better

This way i Knew the Card would be doing all the Work and Not the CPU while benching...

Most 18000+ scores you see are Mild cards and a Heavily Oced IntelQseries....for Nvidia based cards.

AMD systems I pay attention to the SM2 and SM3 scores which are more so the cards ability..18000 to 20000 on AMD and Nvidia or Ati cards,, Now that is gonna be Insane.

I had really hard times achieving 17K with default Windows 7 and all services running. I managed it with strong clocks on GPU and poor clocking Q6600.

    Gaming stable clocks 885/2100/1026
    Vgpu 1.55 at load
