Project Log Completed: all internal v1000
Just saw your worklog...WOW!![]()
Finally back online after a bit of a health battle and the first thing I saw was a Lian Li psu fitting that'll help fix the one design fault I haven't been happy with.
By using the V1000 instead of the V2000 for the base, overall size was kept reasonable but psu leangth was limited. This has restricted choice of psu and put 1K watt psu out of bounds.
Hasn't mattered as the current psu is handling things well.
However this new bit lets me have more cable room with the existing psu or if desired a larger model.
Haven't got the bit yet so here's a product shot to give the idea.
Of course it'll be silver rather than black.

Yay update! Glad you're ok.
Never seen that psu mount before. Won't it choke the fan somewhat? Or doesn't it have a 120mm fan.

Q9450, P5Q-Pro, 4Gb TeamXtreem Dark + 4gb Buffalo Firestix 1066, Silverstone DA650, Silverstone TJ09, 2×WD6400AAKS Raid0, 2× Sapphire HD4870, Dell 2407WFP-HC.
Liquid:
loop1: EK Supreme, MCW30, PA120.2, DDC3.2+XSPC top
loop2: 2×MCW60, D5 vario, MCR320
It just covers the end part of the psu. It is needed with longer [1000W] psus so you don't need to remove any of the HDD racks.
I can't wait to see more updates Jedda![]()
nice additon Jedda!!
Thanks guys.
Nice to feel back amongst friends.

Welcome back Jedda, good to see you're in good health again.
PPCs has em last time i check. It won't really cover the PSU fan, as most long PSU's have their fans near the wires&cables more to the inside of the case...Never seen that psu mount before. Won't it choke the fan somewhat? Or doesn't it have a 120mm fan
that PSU housing extension is good, replaces some stand offs & PSU frame some people uses...
any updates Jedda?
I have the same problem here in Thailand. There are no 343B sold locally and shipping would just be too much of an effort. I was toying with 2 ideas of joining 2 Armor together or getting a custom case made. I decided to scrap the 2 case idea and start planning to have a custom case fabricated locally. (an idea that is still in planning.) Its nice to see that your project went well and now I may go back to toy with the idea of joining 2 Armor together as I have grown to love the looks of my semi-mod and repainted Armor.
Cheers!

Yes, if you've already got a case that you like it makes a lot more financial sense to add the second one.
I'm very happy with how mine has turned out. There's a lot of gear in there, with two loops and two RAID arrays, but there's heaps of space left to get at all the connections etc
The two TC rads keep it running so cool I could've got away with less even somewhere as hot as BKK without air con. The rads run half to one degree above what ever the ambient temp happens to be.

Expected the psu bracket by now. Should be any day. I'll put some pics up once its here.
I'm wanting the extra length but others would find it handy for mounting the psu anywhere there's room to cut a hole. It gives a lot of flexibility with mounting choice.
septim,
Yep, its coming from PerfPC. As usual they're always a few days slower than the others.
