    Running the 3rd 4870 on an X4 slot is going to get you nowhere. Check out 3 x CF scaling and see for yourself. It scales like crap to put it in words.

    But you only need 2 pcie slots. X38/X48 offer 16lanes/16lanes (2.0) and P45 x8/x8 (2.0)

    Yeah, i just re-read that and noticed. The "tri" part confused me... i was thinking of 3 physical cards installed. Hopefully it will scale properly. We'll just have to wait and see

    But you would have 2Gb on the X2 and 512Mb on the 4870 and only use 512Mb I think.
