How would OCZ know? According to the Aegis panel I was pumping 2.4volts through my memory at one point. The BIOS claimed it was only 1.99 should I be worried I have void my lifetime warranty.
Telo which Asus board were you using was it the P5E3? And which memory are you using now? I'm going to swap my OCZ out and use it in another build (seems silly to just leave it lying around. And I have a spare case, PSU, E6600, HDD, Optical drives.)
Does anyone know if this kit http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...atinum_edition that I am using would work well with a Striker II or XFX 790i?
I agree telo the Black Ops is a lot of effort but well worth the feeling of elation when you finally get a stable OC. I have been toiling away for two days and have finally got an OC of 3.8ghz on my CPU. Unfortunately the memory is only operating at 1135mhz
so I will look to replace the OCZ with another 2gb kit and hopefully push the OC a lot further, maybe a future BIOS revision will also help as the only strap that seems to be stable is 2.6 for me is.
I do like the look of the Destroyer as well, I've been looking for an excuse to get a phenom for a while. Does anyone know when these boards will surface? And more importantly around what price? It's a shame they aren't going to have the heat pipe on because I have been kicking some crazy volts into my northbridge and southbridge and the temps have kept really low with watercooling.
Cheers for all your patience guys.![]()
