Possible, but the drivers don't support it correctly yet . It will be clear after the first official drivers.

But I'm going to stop reminding people of that because once they see it on Newegg for $199, knowing that you can two in crossfire (1600 SPs, 2TFlop processing power )for the price of a GTX 260, the numbers will speak for themselves

I dunno, the 4850 is priced at the same level of the g92 gts, which is essentially the 9800gtx with 5% less performance....I'm assuming ATI is trying to steal market share from Nvidia, so that means to expect it to outperform the g92 gts and thus the 9800gtx

People fell over themselves when Nvidia released a card ( GTX 280 ) that was 60% faster than the fastest single card at that price range, Ati release a $200 card that cant even beat the best $200 single card based on oldish tech and its a great card.

A nice card for the money that scales well in CF?

I'm really itchin' to replace my aging 8800 GTX. With the market going the way it is, more choices = better for the consumer.

Yeah, right, Nvidia plans on giving the 9800gtx a 30% performance boost to keep with the 4870 just through better drivers. That just doesn't happen, at the VERY BEST, expect 10-15%, but most likely I predict around 5%. Unless if NVIDIA has been sandbagging this whole time (which I do not think they were, anyone recall the 8800ultra's launch price? They're out to make money and would have done this months ago if they could to higher price their cards), I don't think you'll see a "severe" performance increase.

When we see tests from users it's more likely to believe. And why do we have to wait, when you can know details a week before the official selling start of the cards.

When the weakest part (fillrate, texturing) of the 4850 wins over the 8800GT... you know there's something wrong with the drivers.

Which drivers? Ati's or nvidia's? And I trust all the users here .
P.S. I think you have taken my post wrong. I do believe all the men who are testing the cards here, but I dont' believe to graphics without argumentation or some kind of proof for the tests.
