    IMO, that looks like a ES using DDR3 not DDR5. Take a look at this (take note of the date it was submitted). 1002-9440 use GDDR3. We still have to wait to confirm the device ID for the 4870 is though.

    Well the cards were out at retailers near the beginning of the month. Bit of a logistical problem it seems.

    @mascaras, you're a lucky guy . I have one more request . Is it a problem to start the tests with single 4850, because we've seen a lot ot CF tests and the whole world waits for the single tests . Thanks in advance

    That was fast. So it seems its slightly slower than 9800GTX in Crysis.

    Waiting for CF scaling and other games!

    and 31½ not 32.

    Also, 4850 is done on Vista build 6156 (SP1)
    9800GTX on older Vista build 5767

    Hopefully you redo tests. I'm sure you will....

    yes , Vista is same , differenc is SP1 , with 9800GTX SP2 beta , with hd4850 SP1 final , anyway just to have something to compare +-

    31fps it's not thaat playable, It's just for comparison....
    a HD3870 would do a lot less than that (31fps@dx9 high 1080p)?

    31fps is playable, but it's without AA.

    And i was saying it's not usefull to bench AA because below it couln'd be playable.
