    The voltages aren't on Auto.

For 500x8 PLL is 1.56v, FSB is 1.2v and NB is 1.1v. Only the GTL's and Perf Level are on Auto

Can't wait to get my Q9450 into this board.

You're probably using 1:1 divider then.

Once again with the chipset voltages on their lowest settings (not Auto) -

I've never been able to run Super Pi over 4050mhz before with this chip.

Yip. My memory won't run over 1040mhz, so 1:1 is all I have at 500mhz.

Too bad mate , board looks nice... 450FSB with 1081 RAM would have been fab... you tried TRFC 55 ? Ram read training enabled ? Hope you can get some moore oomph out of them OCZ's
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

I must say this is an improvement over my P5B Deluxe.

    Benches:

    '06

    P5B - 15492

    P5Q - 16144

    '05

    P5B - 19788

    P5Q - 20065

    '03

    P5B - 53232

    P5Q - 62411

No annoying x1 bug, no stuttering in 3Dmark CPU tests. (Hopefully this list will grow as I test other things.

Any thoughts on a SLOW POST? It really seems pathetically slow when looking for USB devices.

I'm finding the POST ok, but I'm finding that the loading bar of both x64 XP and x64 Vista pauses for a good 5 seconds when loading.

1:1 is the lowest you can, as with all Intel chipset boards.

Search this thread for 0702. But the newest BIOS is a page or two back from this one.

ugh I can't seem to break over the 475 mhz FSB or 4.1ish on the CPU

I think its my ram the reaper 1066 isn't liking this board and my humble twinX 800 is doing all it can

so Iam RMAing the reaper and putting the TwinX into my sons new e6700 machine (oh know anyone who wants an AMD 3800+ system for cheap )

so what ram would you recommend for this combo e8400 and p5q dlx ????

495mhz is highest she'll do on stock chipset volts. PLL had to go upto 1.56v for 500mhz and she hit a wall there. Still 15mhz more than P35 and X38 ever got out of her.

This board is sooooooo easy to clock the Q6600 on. Just keep upping the FSB and the vcore and ignore everything else. I'm guessing someone will get to 4.5ghz with a great chip without having to touch the chipset volts.

Great man...But the fsb wall of your q6600 its just 500mhz?? I want to put my e6750 to 3.6 or more, and I have not thought about the fsb wall of it
crap, do I will have problems with this??

500mhz is about the upper limit of most quad-cores. But your dual-core should do far more than that.

I'm on water but with the voltages I'm using I think it would be possible , using a True with push pull almost certainly . 475 fsb x 8.5 for 4037mhz is where I'm sitting right now and I think there is more left but likely water cooling required .

No need to post ya 550FSB limit each page as people will get annoyed and will for sure not reply. Couple of questions what ram do you got ?, does your ram do more than 1100MHz ? you on 2 or 4Gb ? rated ram stock speed ? There are loads of people breaking 600+FSB but you need high quality ram for that and correct settings to keep it sort of benchstable. But these settings are hardly for daily use...
