Crysis laughs its ass off by screwing PC users by not optimizing their games for the mainstream, as so many of today's developers do to make sure their games are playable by a wide audience.
I know tons of friends impressed by the graphics in Crysis having bought the game for their Dell and HP PCs only to return it as they couldn't run it for squat. There will be future generations of cards that will play it at 60 fps at some of the resolutions that we are talking about today, but it will take time because of the developer's decision not to optimize for a broad range of hardware, especially at higher resolutions. It's the reason that they have less than 3 licenses sold for the game engine since the engine's inception, despite all the hype that people attribute to it.
It's the reason they don't want to release it for the PS3 and Xbox 360, even though they can. They'd have to go back and optimize it for those platforms and the game would look amazing at 30fps solid once its optimized which would negate the hardhips they've given PC users who have spent $1000s on hardware trying to run it when an X360 can run it
