Using G20 and finding i cant get CL6 to work at all, even though the same RAM loves CL6 on Giga board.
WIll give G17 a shot to see if it helps, thanks Pete
1. Can someone LINK me a BIOS update for the RETAIL version board!! I cannot find it on there site or online as well. Looking for the newest one out? I think it may be the G20? Just got my board wanting to go to the newest BIOS...
2. Did anyone take off North & South bridge to reapply thermal compound in replace of the stock compound?
Thanks

I would much prefer to be running CL6 at 440 x 13 than CL7
NO differences between CL6 and CL7.....
17.BIN Beta is the fastest bios out there combined with JNL or GTR Ram chips PLUS it "boots easy".....
TIP: Bench with CL6 and some other mobo and see (prefaired winRar bench) in WinXP with 4 x cores......Then bench with BlackOps with CL7 and tight subtimings with LOWER FSB and see again.....
Also try the same with 2k1 benchie.....
The best and easiest so far is the G21 bios....A bit more FSB with the QUADS and a bit slower than 17 beta....![]()

Anyone from Foxconn want to comment on why the retail boards have aluminum tops on the Quantum Cooler ?
Anyone with any watercooling knowledge knows that mixing aluminum with copper is a bad idea.
Can some one link me a BETA G20 or G21 BIOS please....![]()

Here is where I got that impression:
How sad...?
Still clueless?![]()
Sorry my fault. You guys just do the promotion, not the support.
I brought the Blackops because members of the Quantum Force team that had the board for testing posted great reviews and acheved nice overclocks with it, and I had aty time with the Asus Striker II Extreme.
I thought that the Foxconn X48 seems to be getting great feedbacks and that there are many Quantum Force members here in xtremesystems forum, and we can fall back on them for support, since they have great contact with Foxconn, unlike ASUS, where we are pretty much on our own.
Now with the board in hand, and we found we are not getting what was advertised and paid very much for. The Quantum Force members are nowhere to be seen, and if they do appear, they avoid what they don't want to answer.
Why should I now buy Foxconn over ASUS now that the biggest reason I switched was not the reality? Asus seem to have a much greater customer base, and users help each other out.
Is this what we should look forward to with up coming Foxconn-QuantomForce products?

Can try setting GTL Ref 1 lower than the rest as intel specs it to be higher but it seems to like being equal to the rest
For example +10,+5,+10,+10, or default,-5,default,default, Elmor found this to be better as did I.
