I got one of the new gigabyte P45 extreme motherboards to try with this next cascade. I wish i had a E8600 though for some 10x multi action 6++ghz would be alot easier
First stage is brazed, order some more parts, once they arrive i can finish second stage

Looks great Kayl, i am just wondering how did you connect the acummulator (now acting as a reciever) into the loop? Which port did you use (inlet or outlet)? Does it matter anyway?
In case of Fach 0.9L reciever, what's the best way to integrate it into the loop? Via cap tube to act as a expansion tank or as a liquid reciever (as shown here on cold_ice's cascade)? What would be the benefits of either system?

Thanxs niko, im using the suction accumulator as an expansion tank, Without the expansion tank i would have a static pressure of about 350psi
Im not sure if it matters which port i use, i went with access valve on the inlet, and captube back to the suction line on the out. THe expansion tank smoothes the pull down also when dealing with the cold bug.
Im just waiting on the solinode valve to do the hot gas bypass to the cpu head. DO you like my terminals for the mains wiring, i have to get some more links and some boot lace crimps

Thanks for the answer Kayl, will imitate this expansion tank idea on my upcoming mini build. Is there any rule-of-thumb on lenght of the cap tube connecting the expansion tank or the lenght doesn't matter much?
Terminals look great, will get them myself aswell!

longer the captube, then longer the time to drain up/fill up exp tank, vice versa. if you plan on having lots of refrigerant inside (something like 350psi static charge), then use longer cap tube, something like 2mtr so that you can have soft compressor start, but then again when turning off compressor, it would take longer time to fill up the exp tank with longer captube, be careful on high static pressure here. 1-2 mtr is enough i think.

tiborrr as andre X_X said 1-2 mt is fine for the cap line length, anything that puts a restriction between the expansion tank to slow the gas as it enters/exits the expansion tank. I think i used around 1.5m 0.031"
Use 80cms 0,8mm cap tube to exp tank.
Place the exp tank higher than the compressor.

Kayl, this cascade looks better every day. Ever though of building a three-stager with R14?

i cant get R14 here, have dreamed of using R50 but just havnt got around to trying. The way cpus are theres days my cascade is too cold for some cpus
ALmost finished the wiring now
Hot gas bypass for cold bug switch on front pannel of cascade.
The second stage will run automatically with the thermostate set to start/shut-down at a set temperature. THe high pressure cutoff switch monitors the pressure, killing the power to the second stage compressor if the pressure gets too high. THen automatically resets when pressure is at a safe level and start cooling.

thanxws teyber, yes some sleeving over the wiring like on the mach2s would be perfect
THe terminals are from the Weidmuler product range,
the doubler termanals are part number WDK 2.5N and the normal terminals are SAK2.5. THe ferrules (bootlaces) yngndrw is refering to are crimped on the end of the wires going into the terminals.
